WCFD pinnings
Webb City Fire Department celebrated two of its experienced members being promoted and the swearing in of two new members during the Webb City Council meeting Monday.
Fire Chief Andrew Roughton lauded all four prior to them being pinned by family members.
Scott Pink, a 28-year department veteran, was promoted from captain to battalion chief. The position came open with the retirement of Brett Pinion.
Cody Stone, with the department for 13 years, is being promoted from driver/engineer to captain. He and his wife, Kelly, have five children, Kaden, Lyndi, Adalyn, Sam and Jack.
The two new members of the department are Cole Allen and Nathan Lipsey.
Allen comes from of a family of firefighters and police officers. He became a junior firefighter with the Duenweg Fire Department at the age of 14.
Lipsey, was with the Diamond and Redings Mill fire departments before being hired at WCFD. He and his wife Shayla have two children, Clara and Fisher.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
