Webb City All-Stars one win away from going to the World Series

Regional championship game is at noon Friday

The Webb City Little League 12U All-Stars need one more win to advance from the Midwest Regional Tournament to the Little League World Series.

Webb City, representing Missouri, has taken a direct, 3-0 unbeaten path through the winner’s bracket to the championship game of the Midwest Regional at Whitestown, Ind.

They began the tournament Friday with a 5-4 win against South Dakota. On Sunday, they defeated North Dakota 17-7. And on Wednesday, they won 3-1 against Iowa.

The double-elimination tourney continues Thursday with Iowa and North Dakota vying for the opportunity to come out of the losers bracket to face Webb City in the championship at noon Friday, Aug. 12.
