Worn flags can be dropped off for proper retirement at the front door of the Webb City American Legion and VFW Hall, 900 N. Main St.
Robert S. Thurman American Legion Post 13 made the news in Joplin this week by announcing it has installed two drop-off boxes for worn flags to be disposed of properly.
Meanwhile, there already was one in Webb City at the front door of the new American Legion and VFW Hall at 900 N. Main St. It’s been there since the building was completed in the summer of 2022.
The new Joplin flag drop-off boxes are at Eighth and Joplin streets, by Memorial Hall, and (inside for now) at the General Aviation Terminal, 5497 Dennis Weaver Drive.
