The 2021 Webb City football season starts at 7 p.m. Friday at Cardinal Stadium with a big rivalry game against Central Ozark Conference foe Joplin.

Typical for jamborees, the Cardinals came back from Joplin last week with some successes and problems to overcome.

Three other Webb City sports have season-opening home games. The softball team will entertain Nevada at 4:30 p.m. Monday and will be home again Thursday vs. Monett.

Girls tennis gets underway at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday against College Heights. Home tennis games will continue to be at the Millennium until the new courts are finished.

The volleyball team will be in the Cardinal Dome at 5 p.m. Tuesday entertaining Bentonville West.
