Webb City is the first-ever Missouri unified track and field state champion

We’re hopefully better late than never in recognizing the state champion Webb City unified track team.

Webb City won the very first unified track and field championships in spring 2026.

This was the first year for MSHSAA to join Special Olympics in organizing unified sports. Track and field was the first sport, while others may be added.

Six events were offered: shot put, girls and boys 4×100 meter relay, 100 meter, 400 meter and long jump.

In unified sports, for each special education athlete, a regular education athlete can compete.
