Saturday, Feb.19
11:49 – I was dispatched to Madison and 13th streets for a motor vehicle crash.
Sunday, Feb. 20
11:44 – I was dispatched to 304 N. Webb St. in reference to a stolen license plate.
18:44 – An Officer was dispatched to the area of S Madison St and W Fountain Rd, in reference to a non injury traffic crash. As a result of the call for service a report was taken for a traffic crash.
Tuesday, Feb. 22
08:16 – An officer observed property damage to a traffic trailer that was displaying speeds at Oronogo and 10th streets.
14:32 – I was dispatched to 501 S. Ellis St. for a past-tense theft. Further investigation, shows that the crime is a possible deceptive business practice and not a theft.
19:44 – I was driving southbound on Prairie Flower Roud south of Anderson Drive when I observed a blue-in-color van traveling northbound. The van had committed several traffic violations. I initiated a traffic stop and a 63-year-old female was arrested for DWI and failure to yield.
Thursday, Feb. 24
06:04 – I was dispatched to 105 S. Tom St. for an abandoned vehicle parked in front of and blocking the driveway.
Officers responded to 11 S. Ball St. for the theft of a wallet from a motor vehicle. A suspect was later arrested by JPD after using a credit card that had been stolen.
Friday, Feb. 25
22:37 – I observed a green-in-color flatbed pickup northbound on Main Street at Second Street driving in the middle of the road. The 60-year-old male driver was arrested for DWI.
Saturday, Feb. 26
18:03 – Officers responded to the 1100 block of Mineral Street for a 911 call. A 61-year-old female was issued a citation for misuse of 911.
15:38 – I arrived at 106 N. Pennsylvania St. for two abandoned vehicles. They were later towed.
01:31 – Officers responded to a possible house party in the 800 block of W. 11th St. As a result, a runaway juvenile was found.
Sunday, Feb. 27
09:31 – a disturbance was reported at 1848 S. Oronogo St. Apt.
10:41 – I was dispatched to the area of Main and Aylor streets for a person who seemed to be disorientated. I made contact with a male subject and later transporting him to WCPD.
16:05 – Officers responded to an overdose in the 800 block of W. Daugherty St. on a 35-year-old female.
18:09 – An officer was dispatched to 731 N. Oak St. for a past-tense burglary.
20:00 – I was contacted by Walmart Asset Protection with information about a past-tense shoplifting. A 40-year-old female is receiving two citations.
16:49 – I was dispatched to 13th and Madison streets for a two-vehicle accident that resulted in injury.
Monday, Feb. 28
07:54 – I received a call for service at 104 E. Tracy St. in reference property damage.
10:58 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to forgery at 501 S. Madison St.
07:46 – I was dispatched to the area of Ninth and Jefferson streets for an assault. The caller reported he was assaulted by a family member. A 62-year-old Webb City man was arrested for domestic assault.
22:08 – I made a traffic stop near East and First streets in reference a license violation. Two adults were taken into custody for outstanding warrants and the driver was charged with driving while revoked.
Officers responded to East Zora Street and the railroad tracks, where a utility vehicle was reported to be stuck on the tracks. The vehicle was towed by officers.
17:31 – I was dispatched to 1224 S. Jefferson for a theft. The caller reported someone had cut the catalytic converter from a van at the home sometime the previous night.
Officers stopped a gold and black moped for traffic violations. One female was arrested for driving revoked and Jasper County warrants.
05:20 – In the 200 block of W. Broadway, I found a small bag that field tested positive for meth.
Tuesday, March 1
07:54 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to an assault at 1401 W. Austin St.
11:00 – I took a report of a runaway female juvenile from the 600 block of N. Madison St. The juvenile was entered as a runaway.
13:42 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to a theft at 720 N. Oak St.
Wednesday, March 2
16:23 – As I was southbound in the 600 block of N. Main St., I observed a male subject walking southbound on the west sidewalk. As I passed, I recognized him to have warrants. I attempted to turn around, however I lost site of him.
Thursday, March 3
06:22 – A single-vehicle crash was reported at Madison Street and Fountain Road. No injuries were reported.
10:56 – I was dispatched to Casey’s, 337 S. Main St., in reference to a violation of an ex-parte that had occurred in Carthage. The suspect was located and taken into custody.
090:30 – I was informed of a male subject at 422 N. Washington St. making threats to harm others. A 96-hour mental commit form was completed.
18:40 – I was contacted by a juvenile in King Jack Park in reference to a found iPhone laying in the grass. I took custody of the iPhone for safekeeping and completed an information report. The owner was not immediately identified or located.
Friday, March 4
04:33 – I was dispatched to the 800 block of W. 11th St. in reference to a runaway juvenile.
21:00 – I made a traffic stop near Range Line Road and Zora Street in reference to an equipment violation. One adult male was charged with driving while suspended, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
17:09 – I was dispatched to 912 W. Broadway for a disturbance. The caller reported his wife’s ex-husband was trespassing on their property. A signed complaint for trespassing was taken.
09:58 – I was dispatched to 617 N. Liberty St. for a 911 hang-up. The investigation revealed a disturbance where threats of violence were made. A report of domestic assault was filed.
14:30 – I received information about a possible stolen car in the apartment complex at 1802 S. Oronogo. As officers attempted to contact the occupants of the vehicle, the driver fled leading officers on a pursuit in Webb City and northern Joplin. The driver, a 36-year-old Joplin man, bailed from the stolen vehicle at Oak and Second streets in Joplin and was detained after a short foot pursuit. The driver was arrested and taken to the Joplin City jail on multiple warrants, traffic offenses, and other charges related to the stolen vehicle and pursuit.
Saturday, March 5
12:14 – I was dispatched to WCPD in reference to a burglary at 405 W. 15th St. The victim reported her ex-boyfriend entered her home while she was away and took several household items and cash.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
