21:45 – An officer conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle at MacArthur Drive and Prairie Flower Road for no taillights. The 46-year-old male was cited and released for a suspended driving status.
Tuesday, July 2
19:23 – Officers were dispatched to 1500 S. Madison St. for a motor vehicle crash.
22:58 – Officers assisted another agency in a vehicle pursuit at Zora Street and Range Line Road. Although the pursuit was terminated, the suspect was later identified. An adult male was charged with resisting arrest, driving while revoked, and multiple traffic violations.
Wednesday, July 3
10:44 – An officer was dispatched to 917 E. Daugherty St. for a report of fireworks theft.
14:02 – An officer conducted a traffic stop on a moped traveling north on Frisco Greenway Trail, just north of MacArthur Drive. One 53-year-old male was taken into custody for outstanding warrants.
Thursday, July 4
20:12 – I was dispatched to Main and Galena streets for a dog bite.
Friday, July 5
19:16 – An officer was dispatched to 1836-7A S. Oronogo St. in reference to past-tense property damage.
21:28 – I was dispatched to 1306 N. Main St. in reference to property damage.
23:51 – Officers responded to Aylor and Walker streets in reference a female screaming for help in the roadway. An informational report was taken.
Saturday, July 6
19:37 – An officer was dispatched to Hall Street and Robert J. Baker Parkway for a non-injury motor vehicle accident.
20:54 – An officer observed three dirt bikes traveling east on Dawson Drive doing wheelie’s. A 24-year-old male was sent multiple citations in the mail.
Sunday, July 7
02:25 – An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Seventh and Madison streets for improperly displayed tags. The a 47-year-old male driver was placed into custody for warrants.
10:03 – I received a call for service at Wendy’s, 1229 S. Madison St., in reference to an intoxicated male causing a disturbance. He was arrested.
17:12 – Officers were dispatched to 733 Jillian Drive, reference a department assist. A 31-year-old male was arrested for outstanding warrants, and a 33-year-old female was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
21:05 – Officers responded to 324 N. Tom St. for a nuisance complaint. One 54-year-old female was arrested for Webb City warrants.
Monday, July 8
01:08 – Officers responded to Casey’s, 337 S. Main St. for an assault past. Information was gathered.
07:14 – An officer was dispatched to the 1300 block of Canyon Trails Drive in reference to multiple vehicle windows being smashed out.
07:48 – I conducted a traffic stop on Madison Street near Fountain Drive. The driver was later taken into custody for driving while revoked.
11:41 – I was dispatched to a two-vehicle, non-injury, crash at Madison and 13th streets.
12:30 – I took a report of a past-tense theft that occurred sometime during the weekend at 1320 S. Oronogo St.
16:19 – I went with other officers to 1628 Jefferson Circle to assist in removing dogs for safety and concerns for the animals’ health. A family member of the dogs’ owner requested assistance in removing them. The dogs were taken to the Joplin Humane Society.
19:37 – I was dispatched to Sleep Inn, 200 block of S. East St., regarding a reported sodomy in the second degree, armed criminal action, and kidnapping that occurred within one of the guest rooms.
20:09 – Officers responded to a check well-being in the 1100 block of Crow St. One 50-year-old male was placed on a 96-hour mental health hold for suicidal comments.
Tuesday, July 9
09:10 – I was dispatched to 218 N. Madison St. #C, for a dog that had been neglected. The dog was picked up and taken to the Joplin Humane Society.
13:52 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to a burglary that occurred on July 6 at 737 N. Oak St.
13:54 – I conducted a traffic stop on Madison at 13th streets. The driver was later taken into custody for driving while revoked.
16:18 – I was dispatched to the station in reference to a theft from 119 S. Tom St. The victim reported someone gained access to a bank account resulting several unauthorized purchases.
17:26 – Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of N. Ball St. for a violation of a child protection order.
19:09 – I was dispatched to the 500 block of S. Ball St. regarding a runaway juvenile. This report will be forwarded to the Jasper County Juvenile Office for documentation purposes.
21:17 – Officers were dispatched to 510 W. Fourth St. for a theft.
Wednesday, July 10
04:10 – Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Bluebird Drive for a missing child. A search was started and the child was located.
18:22 – Officers responded to the 200 block of N. Roane St. for a report of a missing person.
21:48 – Officers responded to a medical call in the 1100 block of Country Side Drive.
Thursday, July 11
07:36 – I received a call for service at 717 W. Third St. in reference to a theft from motor vehicle.
09:10 – Officers were dispatched to 801 W. 12th St., reference a theft. A 29-year-old male was arrested for outstanding warrants.
13:31 – Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of W. Daugherty St. reference a medical w/law. A 49-year-old male was determined to be deceased.
20:43 – An officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to shoplifting in progress.
Friday, July 12
09:05 – An officer was dispatched to 206 W. Third St. in reference to a burglary that occurred over night.
11:45 – An officer was dispatched to the 1122 Woodland Drive in reference to property damage.
12:55 – I conducted a traffic stop on Range Line Road near Enterprise Avenue for an equipment violation. The driver was taken into custody for driving while suspended. He was released with a court date after being fingerprinted.
13:44 – Officers were dispatched to 621 S. Walker St. Apt A in reference to an assault in progress. One 42-year-old male and one 40-year-old female were taken into custody.
21:30 – An officer observed a vehicle with defective equipment violations in the area of Jefferson Street MacArthur Drive. A traffic stop was conducted and a 60-year-old male was taking into custody for Webb City warrants.
Saturday, July 13
09:18 – An officer was dispatched to 1106 Woodland Drive in reference to a past-tense theft.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
