Thursday, July 7
08:51 – An officer was dispatched to 418 N. Ball St. in reference to a past-tense theft.
Friday, July 8
19:54 – Officers were dispatched to Atwoods in reference to a disturbance occurring in the parking lot. A 67-year-old male was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.
Saturday, July 9
14:21 – I was dispatched to Dollar General, 1510 S. Madison St., in reference to shoplifting.
13:00 – I was dispatched to the station for a found wallet. It and its contents were returned to the owner.
Sunday, July 10
01:19 – I made a traffic stop at Casey’s, 337 S. Main St., reference an equipment violation. One adult female was arrested for driving while intoxicated and an outstanding warrant.
17:40 – A vehicle was observed going north on Range Line Road at Ten Pin Lane at a high rate of speed passing several vehicles in the center turn lane. Information was obtained, driver was identified and several citations were mailed to the 47-year-old male driver.
Monday, July 11
08:15 – I took a report of stealing from 101 Robin Lane. The theft of a package from the front porch occurred between 13:35 and 15:00 on July 6 by a man wearing a white shirt and white hat while riding in a black passenger vehicle.
09:49 – Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of S. Jefferson St., reference an animal complaint. One male subject was issued a citation for animal at large.
10:52 – I was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting. The caller told dispatch that the vehicle was leaving the parking lot and turned northbound onto Madison. I stopped the vehicle and arrested the 42-year old male driver for shoplifting, possession of a controlled substance and driving with an expired license. I also arrested the 45-year old male passenger for an active warrant out of Jasper County for failure to appear on a speeding charge, possession of stolen property, possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were transported to the Webb City jail, where they were held until they posted bond.
13:22 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a male shoplifting. The suspect was taken into custody and felony charges were submitted to the prosecutor for review.
17:06 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter. A 36-year-old male was arrested for shoplifting.
11:00 – I was dispatched to a two-vehicle, non-injury, motor vehicle accident at 604 S. Madison St.
Tuesday, July 12
On 07/12/2022 at 0428 hours, a twenty-nine-year-old was transported from the Joplin City Jail (303 E. 3rd) to the Webb City Police Department (211 W. Broadway) for active warrants.
10:50 – I took a report of a motor vehicle crash at Range Line Road and Zora Street. No injuries were reported, only vehicle damage. Both vehicles left the scene under their own power.
12:00 – Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Nelson St., in reference to property damage.
23:24 – Officers were dispatched to Range Line Road and Zora Street for a two-vehicle, non injury, motor vehicle crash. A 28-year-old male was cited and arrested for fail to yield right of way causing a crash, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and driving while intoxicated.
Wednesday, July 13
08:13 – I received a call for service at 4492 Dirt Road in reference to property damage to a vehicle.
15:05 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to assault at 506 N. Ball St.
15:10 – Officers responded to Walmart for a male subject trespassing and refusing to leave. The subject resisted arrest and assaulted two responding officers and a bystander. He was taken into custody and transported to the Jasper County Jail on multiple charges.
19:49 – Officers were called to check the well-being of a child left unattended in a vehicle on the Walmart parking lot. Investigations were conducted at the scene and at the child’s home in coordination with the Jasper County Children’s Division. Charges were submitted against the 44-year-old mother for child endangerment, as well as shoplifting and trespassing.
Thursday, July 14
08:30 – I received a call for service at Walmart in reference to a theft in progress. A female was arrested.
Friday, July 15
16:32 – An officer was contacted at Caseys, 337 A. Main St., in reference to a past-tense theft. One adult male was taken into custody for outstanding warrants.
Saturday, July 16
21:25 – I was dispatched to Walmart for a shoplifting in progress. At this time the investigation is ongoing.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
