19:00 – Officers were dispatched to 606 S. Hall St. in reference to a 911 hang-up. After investigation, one adult male was taken into custody for outstanding warrants.
Friday, Dec. 20
14:59 – An officer conducted a traffic stop near Broadway and Jefferson Street in reference to speeding in a school zone. One 37-year-old female was cited for speeding in a school zone and operating a motor vehicle with an expired license.
16:02 – An officer conducted a traffic stop near Seventh and Madison streets in reference to defective equipment. One 48-year-old male was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant.
21:57 – An officer was dispatched to the 800 block of N. Elliott St. in reference to a suicidal subject. One male was transported to the hospital for a 96-hour-hold.
Sunday, Dec. 22
10:30 – An officer was dispatched to the police station lobby in reference to a past-tense harassment complaint that originally occurred at 423 S. Centennial St.
12:30 – I received a call for service at 16th and Madison streets in reference to a motor vehicle accident.
16:08 – I received a call for service at 1608 Crestwood Drive in reference to fraud.
16:13 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter. Two adult females were arrested for charges of shoplifting and trespassing.
19:15 – Officers were dispatched to 405 N. Webb St. in reference to a domestic in progress. One adult male was taken into custody for resisting arrest and domestic assault.
20:38 – Officers responded to Walmart for a shoplifting in progress. One female was taken into custody for shoplifting.
Monday, Dec. 23
09:31 – An officer was dispatched to 17th Place Apartments, 1100 W. 14th St., in reference to property damage.
17:45 – Officers were dispatched to Seventh and Madison streets in reference to a two-vehicle crash with unknown injuries.
23:26 – Officers contacted a suspicious vehicle behind Soar, 1502 S. Madison St. Two juveniles were referred to the juvenile office.
Tuesday, Dec. 24
02:39 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Madison and 10th streets in reference to multiple violations. A 16-year-old female driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
02:39 – An officer was assisting on a traffic stop at Ninth and Madison streets, where another driver had to be called to move a vehicle. One 18-year-old male was taken into custody for DWI-Zero tolerance.
08:12 – Officers were called to Madison and Daugherty streets for a careless and imprudent driver. One male was arrested for DWI and additional charges.
10:43 – I was dispatched to 2301 N. Range Line Road for found property. The property was recovered and later placed into evidence.
13:30 – An officer was dispatched to 1217 Matthew Circle for a report of a missing adult. A missing person entry was made
13:39 – An officer conducted a traffic stop near MacArthur Drive and Ball Street in reference to an expired license plate. One 45-year-old female was taken into custody for driving while suspended.
15:46 – Officers were dispatched to 1018 W. Daugherty St. in reference to a trespass in progress.
20:50 – Officers were dispatched to 4563 E. Zora St. in reference to a disturbance.
Wednesday, Dec. 25
00:31 – I observed a red Nissan SUV eastbound on MacArthur Drive from Oronogo Street with expired plates. The two license plates were found to be stolen and seized.
12:23 – An officer was dispatched to return a phone call to a victim of a past-tense theft, which originally occurred at 621 S. Centennial St.
23:52 – I attempted a traffic stop near Range Line Road and Kennedy Lane for a traffic violation. The vehicle fled from the traffic stop and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit led into Joplin City where the suspect fled on foot and was apprehended. One adult male was charged with felony resisting arrest, driving while intoxicated, driving while revoked and open container.
Thursday, Dec. 26
06:34 – I received a call for service at 1227 N. Range Line Road in reference to theft from a motor vehicle.
08:16 – I was dispatched to 1400 W. Austin St., for a past-tense theft.
08:22 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Madison and Nelson streets for a registration violation. The 43-year-old female driver was arrested for no valid drivers license.
09:03 – An officer was dispatched to the police station in reference to a past-tense theft which originally occurred at 513 N. Webb St.
12:36 – An officer was dispatched to Madison Street and MacArthur Drive for a non-injury crash.
13:43 – I was dispatched to 1315 W. Austin St. for a past-tense theft.
14:39 – An officer was dispatched to Freeman Urgent Care,1632 S. Madison St. in reference to an animal bite which occurred at 320 Rose St.
15:36 – I was dispatched to 1400-214 W. Austin St. for threats.
15:48 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft that had just occurred. One adult female was arrested for shoplifting.
17:30 – I received a call at 714 W. First St. in reference to a past-tense theft of property.
Friday, Dec. 27
10:29 – I was dispatched to 610 N. Elliott St. for a past-tense theft from a construction trailer.
11:43 – Officers were dispatched to 822 Zigler St. for a subject passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle with the vehicle in gear. One male was arrested for DWI.
14:45 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to a theft, which occurred at 2038 Blue Jay Drive during the overnight hours of Dec. 23.
15:57 – Officers were dispatched to 16th and Madison streets for an injury motor vehicle crash.
Saturday, Dec. 28
00:47 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Main and Second streets for a speeding violation. The 42-year-old female driver was arrested for driving while revoked and failure to comply with request for information by police officers.
13:58 – An officer conducted a traffic stop near Seventh and Madison streets in reference to a traffic violation. One 46-year-old male was taken into custody for driving while revoked.
18:10 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Madison Street and Broadway in reference to multiple lane violations. The 32-year-old male driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated and possession of an open container of alcohol.
22:34 – I observed a gray passenger vehicle, commit a lane violation at East Street and Sharon Drive. The 32-year-old female was arrested for DWI.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
