19:20 – I conducted a traffic stop at Madison Street and Fountain Road. The subject was arrested for driving without a drivers’ license.
Sunday, Dec. 29
08:15 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a trespassing in progress. One 29-year-old male was taken into custody.
19:12 – Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of S. Oronogo St. for a disturbance in progress. A report was generated for the juvenile office.
Monday, Dec. 30
00:10 – Officers conducted a traffic stop at MacArthur Drive and Jefferson Street for a speed violation. One 17-year-old was taken into custody for DWI.
02:28 – Officers were dispatched to 1217 Matthew Circle regarding a past-tense domestic incident involving two individuals.
10:27 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to a past-tense stealing report at 201 S. Hall St.
10:28 – I received a call for service at 636 N. Oronogo St. in reference to theft from a motor vehicle.
16:14 – I was dispatched to 1715-C S. Madison St. for property damage.
16:32 – Officers were dispatched to Range Line Road and Zora Street for a two-vehicle traffic crash.
18:18 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a non-injury crash that occurred in the parking lot. One male was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated and open container.
Tuesday, Dec. 31
08:12 – I received a call for service at WTI, 1715 N. Range Line Road, in reference to a theft of property.
08:30 – Two officers transported drug-related items to 4174 County Road 180 to dispose of them.
14:24 – I received a call for service at Seventh and Madison streets in reference to a motor vehicle accident.
20:50 – An officer was dispatched to Cardinal Stop, 302 N. Main St. in reference to past-tense theft and fraudulent use of a debit card. One adult male was taken into custody.
21:37 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Daugherty and Liberty streets for a speeding violation. The 18-year-old male driver was cited and arrested for failure to dim headlights, speeding, no valid drivers license, and driving while intoxicated-drugs.
22:15 – Officers conducted a traffic stop at Madison and Daugherty streets for lane and stop sign violations. One 53-year-old male was taken into custody for DWI-alcohol.
Wednesday, Jan. 1
01:01 – Officers conducted a traffic stop at Broadway and Ash Street for lane violations. One 31-year-old male was taken into custody for DWI-alcohol.
11:10 – Officers were dispatched to Madison Street and Stadium Drive in reference to a two-vehicle, non-injury, crash.
18:56 – Officers were dispatched to 2077 Stadium Dr. for property damage to a vehicle.
21:29 – A vehicle stop was attempted for no lights and the vehicle fled from officers. A 40-year-old female was arrested for DWI and resisting.
23:34 – Officers responded to WCPD for a walk-in. A 43-year-old male was taken into custody for driving while revoked and open container.
Thursday, Jan. 2
01:45 – Officers responded to Domino’s, 624 S. Madison St., for a property damage report.
12:27 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting in progress. A female was arrested.
12:32 – I was dispatched to 1604 S. Ellis St. Apt. 44, for a past-tense theft.
15:00 – I took a report of theft from a vehicle at 624 S. Madison St. Sometime between 17:30 and 01:00, someone stole a wallet and contents from the victim’s 2019 white Chevy Spark while it was parked.
16:44 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to a stolen debit card from Wasche Laundry, 615 N. East St.
18:50 – Officers were dispatched to 504 S. Roane St. for a theft report.
21:20 – An officer on patrol noticed damage to a stop sign at Robert J. Baker Parkway.
22:00 – I observed a speeding vehicle at Main and Second streets. The vehicle was stopped and a 37-year-old male was arrested for warrants.
Friday, Jan. 3
00:47 – Officers conducted a traffic stop at Daugherty and East streets for a registration violation. A 45-year-old male was taken into custody for driving while suspended.
17:08 – I was dispatched to the 500 block of N. Devon St. for a runaway report.
20:18 – Officers were notified of a possible intoxicated driver coming into the city. I located the suspect vehicle near MacArthur Drive and Powell Drive and attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle failed to yield and a brief pursuit ensued. The driver ultimately stopped and was taken into custody for felony driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest and driving while revoked.
Saturday, Jan. 4
07:21 – I received a call for service at the Webb City Farmers Market, 104 E Tracy St., in reference to a past-tense theft.
07:57 – An officer was dispatched to 610 N. Elliott St. in reference to an attempted burglary.
11:40 – An officer was dispatched to 605 N. Elliott St. in reference to a past-tense burglary.
13:33 – An officer conducted a traffic stop near Seventh and Oronogo streets in reference to a traffic violation. One 38-year-old male was taken into custody for driving while suspended.
15:48 – An officer conducted a traffic stop near Zora and Hall streets for a traffic violation. Two males were taken into custody, one for driving while revoked and the other for possessing an open container of alcohol.
21:58 – I was southbound on Madison Street at Mt. Hope Road when I observed a vehicle in front of me traveling at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was made an a 44-year-old was arrested for DWI-aggravated.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
