19:32 – An officer conducted a stop at MacArthur and Powell drives for traffic offenses. One adult male was taken into custody for outstanding warrants.
Thursday, March 20
16:21 – An officer was dispatched to 316 S. Pennsylvania St. in reference to a past-tense domestic assault that occurred at about 3:30 p.m.
Friday, March 21
17:03 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Zora Street and Range Line Road. A male was taken into custody for driving while suspended.
Saturday, March 22
16:37 – I was dispatched to Walmart in reference to shoplifting. A 33-year-old was cited.
Sunday, March 23
16:02 – An officer was dispatched to 1604 S. Ellis St. for a report of property damage.
Monday, March 24
07:45 – An officer was dispatched to a non-injury crash near Tom and Vine streets.
07:51 – I received a call for service at 12th and Jefferson streets in reference to a suspicious person. A male was subsequently arrested for a Joplin warrant.
07:54 – An officer was dispatched to the 1800 block of S. Oronogo St. in reference to a possible overdose.
09:46 – An officer was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Webb St. in reference to a check well-being. One 75-year-old female was found deceased.
15:29 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to a phone report of a past-tense theft that had occurred at 841 Zigler St., and the subsequent fraudulent use of a stolen credit card.
16:21 – An officer was driving in the 100 block of S. Hall St. when a subject with outstanding warrants was seen doing yard work. One 38-year-old female was taken into custody.
17:46 – An officer was dispatched to 518 N. Webb St. in reference to a past-tense theft that had occurred during the overnight hours.

Tuesday, March 25
01:21 – An officer was conducting traffic enforcement near Broadway and Madison Street when he observed a red Chevy Malibu with moving violations. A traffic stop was initiated and a 31-year-old female was taken into custody for driving while revoked.
07:20 – A pedestrian check was conducted near 10th and Madison streets. One 34-year-old male was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant.
14:06 – I received a call of a structure fire at 217 W Austin St.
17:42 – I received a call for service at 300 W. Stadium Drive in reference to property damage to a motor vehicle.
Wednesday, March 26
21:13 – Officers conducted a traffic stop on a Ford SUV at White Oak Station, 411 S. Madison St. One 23-year-old male was taken into custody for driving without a valid license.
23:00 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Madison and Second streets for stop sign violation. A 26-year-old male got arrested on a Carthage warrant.
Thursday, March 27
00:45 – An officer responded to Waffle House, 1208 S. Madison St., in reference to a nuisance complaint. Four individuals were taken into custody for miscellaneous charges.
01:07 – Officers were dispatched to 401 N. Roane St. regarding a structure fire involving multiple residential homes.
11:00 – I stopped a red Toyota Camry for speeding on Oronogo Street near 12th street. The female driver was found to not have a valid drivers license and was arrested and transported to the Webb City jail.
19:21 – Officers responded to the 1400 block of Mary Lane in reference to a disturbance in progress. One 27-year-old male was taken into custody for peace disturbance.
Friday, March 28
12:41 – An officer conducted a follow-up at 217 W. Austin St. One 28-year-old female was taken into custody for outstanding Webb City warrants.
Saturday, March 29
10:00 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to the overnight theft of a vehicle from Cardinal Towers, 324 N. Tom St.
11:51 – A subject requested a phone call from an officer in reference to a civil property issue that was occurring at 1100 W. Crow St. One 34-year-old male was taken into custody for domestic assault and placed on a 24-hour hold, pending the filing of charges with the Jasper County Prosecutors Office.
15:41 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to found property at 2100 N. Madison St.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
