Friday, July 22

17:41 – Officers were dispatched to a call for two people at a house at 777 Cardinal Drive that had multiple warrants for their arrest. One male and one female were arrested.

Saturday, July 23

09:12 – Officers were dispatched to an indecent exposure call at Madison and MacArthur Drive. One male was arrested.

Sunday, Aug. 7

20:46 – An officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting that had just occurred. A 38-year-old female was issued a citation for shoplifting.

Tuesday, Aug. 9

18:29 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a shoplifting in progress. A 37-year-old female was arrested for shoplifting and trespassing.

Thursday, Aug. 11

07:00 – Officers observed a male subject known to have warrants out for his arrest walking north on Main Street near Stadium Drive that they knew to have warrants for his arrest. He was taken into custody.

07:47 – I was dispatched to 501 S. Ellis St. for an animal bite.

Friday, Aug. 12

18:36 – An officer was dispatched to Seventh and Madison streets for a non-injury motor vehicle crash.

23:50 – Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of S. Hall St. in reference to a juvenile who had left the residence on foot. A runaway report was taken.

Saturday, Aug. 13

23:00 – Officers observed a driver operating in a careless manner. The vehicle was stopped and one male was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Sunday, Aug. 14

13:00 – I took a report of a cell phone found at Wild Rose Cemetery. The owner of the cell phone was identified and the cell phone placed into evidence for safekeeping.

19:42 – An officer was dispatched to Burger King in reference to a disturbance.

21:30 – An officer was dispatched to 211 W. Broadway for a walk-in report.

Monday, Aug. 15

18:05 – An officer was dispatched to Dollar General in reference to a past-tense theft. Suspect information was obtained, video evidence was collected, and a report was completed. The investigation is ongoing for now.

18:54 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a trespassing in progress. One 44-year-old female was arrested for trespassing, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

19:06 – Officers observed a single-vehicle crash near Madison and 13th streets. The vehicle left the scene and was stopped near Madison and 15th streets. One adult male was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash.

Tuesday, Aug. 16

06:43 – I was dispatched to the roundabout for a motor vehicle crash. A 36-year-old male was arrested for DWI-drug.

07:40 – Officers were dispatched regarding a pitbull at large at Madison Animal Clinic. The dog was chasing people and other animals. One female and one pitbull were taken into custody.

Wednesday, Aug. 17

13:41 – Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of S. Hall St. in reference a domestic in progress. A female subject was arrested.

17:12 – Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of S. Jefferson St. in reference to theft of a firearm.

18:58 – Officers were dispatched to 513 N. Webb St. in reference to a domestic assault. A a 47-year-old male was arrested for domestic assault.

21:19 – Officers were dispatched to 1414 Nelson St. for an assault in progress. State charges will be sent to the Jasper County Prosecutor.

23:37 – Officers were dispatched to 1502 S. Ellis St. Apt. 97 for a disturbance in progress. A 28-year-old male was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges by the Jasper County Prosecutors Office for domestic assault second degree.

05:47 – I was dispatched to 1624 Lakeview Drive for a burglary in progress. Two unknown subjects were observed on surveillance video enter a empty home at this location. The home was searched by police. The two subjects were not found.

09:00 – Officers were dispatched to Oronogo Street and MacArthur Drive for a non-injury accident.

08:44 – Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of N. Liberty St., in reference to a domestic situation. A male subject was arrested on a warrant.

Thursday, Aug. 18

19:24 – Officers were dispatched to 518 S. Walker St. in reference to a stolen vehicle.

18:56 – An officer was dispatched to Prairie Flower Road and Logan Drive for a two-vehicle, non injury, motor vehicle crash. A 16-year-old male driver was issued a citation for following too closely.

Friday, Aug. 19

00:01 – Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of N. Tom St. for a suicidal suspect. A 39-year-old female was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

21:56 – An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Powell Drive and MacArthur Drive in reference to a traffic violation. The 19-year-old female driver was arrested for driving while suspended.

18:11 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a shoplifting call where the suspect had run from the store. Officers later located the female suspect, and she was taken into custody.

Saturday, Aug. 20

02:56 – Officers were dispatched to Waffle House in reference to a subject inside threatening patrons and possibly holding customers against their will. Several officers affected the arrest of the 34-year-old male subject for peace disturbance.

11:44 – I received a call for service at 1401 S. Madison St. in reference to a single-vehicle motor vehicle accident.

22:40 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter. The suspect fled the parking lot in a vehicle and failed to yield to a fully marked police car with lights and sirens. Eventually, the suspect vehicle stopped near Jefferson Street and MacArthur Drive, and the 46-year-old male driver was arrested for shoplifting and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle.

23:16 – I was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft in progress. One adult male was taken into custody for shoplifting and possession of a controlled substance.
