17:38 – Officers received a report of harassment by phone at 119 N. Pennsylvania St. One female was issued a summons.
Saturday, Aug. 6
09:20 – Officers were dispatched to 1658 Leighton Court for an ex-parte violation. Probable cause paperwork has been submitted on one male.
Monday, Aug. 15
17:33 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to juvenile offenses occurring in the 700 block of W. Third St. The investigation is ongoing.
Thursday, Aug. 18
17:22 – I was dispatched to Broadway and College Street for a two-vehicle, non-injury accident.
Friday, Aug. 19
20:49 – An officer was dispatched to the roundabout in reference to a motor vehicle accident.
11:28 – Officers were dispatched to a burglary in progress at 1624 Lakeview Drive. The residence was cleared. No one was located on scene. The identify of one male caught on security cameras is still being sought by officers.
Sunday, Aug. 21
15:59 – I received a call for service at 501 S. Garrison St. in reference to the burglary of a storage unit.
12:46 – I was dispatched to 1229 S. Austin St. for property damage.
Monday, Aug. 22
00:07 – Officers were notified of a department assist in reference a pursuit that had entered into the city near Highway 171 and Prairie Flower Road. Officers were able to assist. One adult male was taken into custody by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office for multiple charges.
08:07 – I stopped a vehicle traveling south on Pennsylvania Street for failing to stop at a stop sign at Pennsylvania and Aylor streets. The driver was found to be revoked and was arrested and transported to the Webb City jail.
13:14 – Officers were dispatched to 500 N. Pennsylvania St. for a past-tense theft.
09:32 – I was dispatched to 1836 S. Oronogo St. 3D, for a past-tense theft from motor vehicle.
15:54 – Officers were dispatched to the roundabout in reference to a two-vehicle non-injury accident.
14:40 – I stopped a vehicle for speeding at Broadway and Washington Street. The female driver was charged with speeding in a school zone, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
16:04 – I was dispatched to 1015 W. Daugherty St. in reference to found items. The items were retrieved.
14:44 – Officers were dispatched to MacArthur Drive and Main Street in reference to a two-vehicle non-injury accident.
11:46 – I was dispatched to Madison and First streets for a check well being. The subject was found, checked on, and was fine. An informational report was completed for property damage.
Tuesday, Aug. 23
04:18 – Officers were called to Broadway and College Street for a possible motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival a vehicle was located crashed into another vehicle and no one was around. The vehicle was later determined to be stolen out of Joplin.
08:34 – Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of S. Hall St. reference a stolen vehicle.
11:43 – Officers were alerted to a possible overdose in the 400 block of S. Madison St. The male subject was in possession of illegal drugs in a greater quantity than for personal use. He was arrested.
22:40 – Officers responded to 1928 S. Centennial Ave. in reference to a disturbance. A 53-year-old male was arrested for domestic assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
15:08 – I was dispatched to Take-A-Break, 417 S. Main St., for a past-tense shoplifting. The suspect was found and cited for shoplifting.
13:58 – I was dispatched to 606 Easton B for a past-tense property damage.
Wednesday, Aug. 24
08:24 – I received a call for service at 407 N. Liberty St. in reference to theft from a motor vehicle.
19:29 – I was dispatched to WCPD in reference to an assault that had occurred at 1606 S. Oronogo St.
19:42 – Officers were dispatched to 506 N. Liberty St. in reference to an armed person flourishing a weapon on the property. The investigation into the alleged weapon flourishing was unsubstantiated, and the victim told the police she was unwilling to speak with an officer about the call she made. Therefore, a summons was completed for the 35-year-old female caller for misuse of emergency communications.
Thursday, Aug. 25
07:51 – I stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in a school zone. The female driver was subsequently arrested for warrants and driving while suspended.
07:03 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Madison and 10th streets for a speeding violation. The 17-year-old male driver was cited and arrested for exceeding the posted speed limit and driving while intoxicated. Charges for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia will be sent to the Jasper County Juvenile Office.
21:15 – I was dispatched to 525 S. Hall St. in reference to a trespass in progress. One adult male was taken into custody for trespassing.
Friday, Aug. 26
04:47 – Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Daugherty and East streets in reference to a motor vehicle accident. One of the adult male drivers was believed to be intoxicated and was arrested for driving while intoxicated and transporting an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
14:37 – I stopped a vehicle for speeding at Madison and Central streets. The female driver was also found to be suspended and was cited for speeding and charged with driving while suspended.
14:13 – Officers were dispatched to RNR Tire Express, 2301 N. Range Line Road, reference a private property accident.
20:42 – Officers were dispatched to Sonic, 1310 S. Madison St., for an injury motor vehicle crash, involving a pedestrian. A 68-year-old female was transported to a local area hospital for her injuries.
10:23 – I was dispatched to Murphy USA, 1224 S. Madison St., for a past-tense theft..
Saturday, Aug. 27
17:36 – Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of N. Main St., reference fraud.
18:43 – Officers responded to Walmart in reference to shoplifting. Information was obtained.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
