Tuesday, May 5

21:48 An officer was on patrol at Third and Main streets when he observed a maroon ford with moving violations. A traffic stop was conducted, and one male was taken into custody for driving while suspended.

22:44 – An officer was on patrol at Broadway and Madison Street when he observed a black Honda Accord with moving violations. One male was taken into custody for warrants.

Friday, May 8

16:40 – Officers were dispatched to Austin and Jefferson streets for an intoxicated male walking down the road with blood on his hand. A 61-year-old male was placed on a 12-hour safekeep.

Saturday, May 9

23:33 – An officer observed a vehicle at MacArthur Drive and East Street going westbound change lanes without using a turn signal. As a result, a 27-year-old female was arrested for warrants.

00:28 – Officers were dispatched to 601 Meadowmere Drive for a disturbance in progress.

20:55 – Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of S. Tom St. for a runaway juvenile.

22:31 – An officer was on patrol when he observed two vehicles crash into each other at Zora and Range Line Road.

Sunday, May 10

00:26 – An officer observed a black Toyota passenger vehicle cross the center line to the left at Madison Street and Fountain Road. A 20-year-old male was arrested for driving while suspended.

15:19 – I received a call for service at Walmart in reference to a person being detained there for shoplifting.

11:48 – Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of W. Austin St. for a suicidal subject. A 61-year-old male was transported to Mercy Hospital-Joplin for a 96-hour commit.

15:08 –Officers were dispatched to WCPD for a walk-in report of disturbance that occurred on a Boys and Girls Club school bus between Harry S Truman Elementary and Eugene Field Elementary School.

17:36 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Broadway and Webb St. A 44-year-old male was taken into custody for DWI-drug.

Monday, May 11

21:09 – An officer was dispatched to Oakland and Seventh streets in reference to a non-injury motor vehicle crash. A 20-year-old male driver was arrested for a Jasper County warrant.

19:25 – Officers were dispatched to 807 Megan Lane for a domestic in progress. A citation was issued.

Tuesday, May 12

00:41 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Range Line Road and Kennedy Lane. A 38-year-old female was arrested for DWI.

07:57– Officers were dispatched to a physical disturbance, at which a male, age 19, was taken into custody and a report was generated.

14:02 – Officers were dispatched to 213 W. Austin St. in reference to a disturbance in progress. One 57-year-old female was arrested for domestic assault and placed on a 12-hour safe keep.

17:49 – Afficer stopped a vehicle near Fifth Street and Prairie Flower Road for a moving traffic violation. As a result, the 34-year-old driver was arrested for driving while revoked.

19:25 – An officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a past-tense theft.

19:40 – An officer was dispatched to 1805 Meadow Moore Drive for found property.

20:47 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a theft in progress. A 63-year-old female was arrested for shoplifting.

21:09 – Officers were dispatched to 1711 Redwood Drive Apt 38 in reference to a disturbance in progress. One male was taken into custody for domestic assault.

22:43 – Officers were dispatched to 1109 Countryside Drive for a non injury crash. A 25-year-old male was arrested for DWI.

Wednesday, May 13

00:42 – Officers were dispatched to Robin/Main for an intoxicated driver. As a result a 39-year-old male was arrested for DWI.

08:00 – I stopped a vehicle at Jefferson Street and MacArthur Drive for expired registration. The driver was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated, driving while revoked, and possession of open container.

10:35 – An officer observed a red moped fail to stop at a stop sign at Madison Street and Broadway. A 42-year-old male was arrested for driving while revoked.

15:50 – Officers were dispatched to Atwoods, 220 S. East St., in reference to shoplifting.

16:45 – I received a call for service at the roundabout and East Street in reference to motor vehicle accident.

22:10 – An officer observed a vehicle matching a description of an intoxicated driver in the area of MacArthur Drive and East Street. A traffic stop was initiated and the suspect fled, leading officers on a pursuit. The driver ultimately stopped and was taken into custody for aggravated fleeing, felony warrants for property damage and resisting, driving while intoxicated, minor in possession, open container and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.

Thursday, May 14

11:08 – I arrived at 309 S. College St. to take a complaint on the neighbor at 310 Rose Lane for housing a prohibited pit bull dog.

12:01 – Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Madison Street and Broadway for a leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.

12:50 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to harassment and property damage at 822 Zigler St.

15:43 – I received a call for service at White Oak Station, 411 S. Madison St., in reference to a male causing a disturbance and shoplifting merchandise.

17:14 – Officers were dispatched to the roundabout for a crash.

17:25 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to found property at East and First streets.

Friday, May 15

07:19 – Officers were dispatched to Casey’s, 337 S. Main St. in reference to a check well-being. An adult male, age 41, was arrested on Joplin warrants. Upon an inventory of his items at the Joplin Jail, drug paraphernalia was located.

08:12 – I was dispatched to 731 W. Second St. for a past-tense motor vehicle theft.

09:08 – I was dispatched to 1201 S. Madison St. for a report of a motor vehicle accident.

09:39 – A member of the park department located a black cell phone in King Jack Park and brought it to the police station for safe keeping.

11:36 – An officer was dispatched to a past-tense domestic assault. A citation was issued.

13:03 – I was dispatched to Madison and 13th streets for a two-vehicle, non-injury accident.

14:08 – Officers were called to a two-vehicle, non-injury crash at the roundabout.

14:17 – An officer was dispatched to Atwoods, 220 S. East St., in reference to a past-tense theft that took place on May 14 at approximately 1816 hours.

15:32 – I was dispatched to Commerce Bank, 1311 S. Madison St., for a report of suspicious activity. A male was taken into custody for identity theft and other charges.

15:50 – Officers were dispatched to College and Crow streets in reference to a juvenile bicyclist being struck by a vehicle. The juvenile was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

19:58 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Range Line Road and Kennedy Lane. A male, age 39, was taken into custody for driving while revoked.

22:25 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Third and Main streets for speeding. A 35-year-old male was taken into custody for DWI-alcohol.

22:47 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Hall and Zora streets for multiple lane violations. The 23-year-old male driver was citied and arrested for improper lane use, failure to show valid proof of insurance, operating a motor vehicle without a valid drivers license, and driving while intoxicated.

Saturday, May 16

14:08 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at MacArthur Drive and Main Street on a silver Pontiac g6. A male, age 28, was arrested for driving while suspended and cited for exceeding the posted speed limit.

15:23 – An animal report was made over the phone to an officer. As a result, there was a follow-up investigation was conducted at the 900 block of W. Third St.
