14:57 – I was dispatched to Tom and Church streets for a motor vehicle crash.

17:40 – I was dispatched to Walmart in reference to shoplifting. A 19-year-old male was issued a citation for shoplifting.

Wednesday, Dec. 21

15:30 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to found property at Atwoods.

Friday, Dec. 23

14:49 – I was dispatched to Walmart in reference to shoplifting. A 29-year-old female and 28-year-old male were arrested for shoplifting.

17:05 – I was dispatched to Atwoods in reference to shoplifting.

Saturday, Dec. 24

Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a shoplifting in progress. One female was apprehended and issued summons to court.

Sunday, Dec. 25

09:12 – Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of S. Oronogo St. for domestic assault. One juvenile male was transported to a local health facility. Charges have been forwarded to the Jasper County Juvenile Office.

Monday, Dec. 26

09:21 – I was dispatched to Atwoods for a past-tense shoplifting.

09:21 – While investigating a past-tense shoplifting I was made aware of another shoplifting that occurred on Dec. 24 at Atwoods.

10:57 – Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of S. Hall St., reference a trespass in progress. A male subject was arrested for outstanding warrants.

14:39 – Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of S. Oakland St., reference a check well being. A 68-year-old male was found deceased.

23:56 – An officer was contacted by Walmart asset protection about a past-tense theft.

Tuesday, Dec. 27

05:20 – Officers were dispatched to 305 S. Hall St. in reference to a possible burglary.

08:06 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Main and Daugherty streets. One adult female was taken into custody for driving while suspended.

08:06 – Officers initiated a traffic stop in the area of Third and Hall streets, reference a department assist. A male subject was arrested and cited for driving while revoked.

15:06 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting in progress. One adult male was taken into custody for shoplifting and local warrants.

17:15 – I was contacted at WCPD for found property. A subject brought in found items he located on his property at 6 S. Colonial Drive. The items were later returned to the owners.

18:20 – Officers were dispatched to Madison and 13th streets in reference to a two-vehicle, non-injury, motor vehicle crash. A 21-year-old male driver was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way.

20:02 – Officers responded to 4563-C East Zora St. for a domestic in progress. A 34-year-old male was arrested for second degree domestic assault pending charges with the Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office.

Wednesday, Dec. 28

00:55 – Officers responded to the 500 block of N. Ball St. for a report of an adult male filming a underage girl. One subject was taken into custody.

Officers responded to the 500 block of S. Hall St. for a suicidal subject. One female was transported to a local hospital for mental healthcare.

Thursday, Dec. 29

01:43 – I made a traffic stop near 15th and Oronogo streets in reference to a license violation. One adult male was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia, and false report.

10:34 – I stopped the operator of a motorized scooter near Jefferson and Third streets for a traffic violation. The driver was arrested for operating a vehicle with no valid license.

11:46 – I was dispatched to 301 Golf Road for a theft. The investigation revealed no theft had taken place.

Friday, Dec. 30

04:53 – Officers were dispatched to 609 S. Ellis St. in reference to a past-tense theft from vehicle report. The victim reported someone had broken her vehicle’s window out and stolen her purse. The 21-year-old white male suspect was soon positively identified, located and arrested.

08:21 – A traffic stop was initiated in the area of Third and Tom streets reference expired tags. Both the driver and passenger were arrested for outstanding warrants.

13:08 – Officers were dispatched to College/Fountain, reference a found bicycle. As a result the bicycle was placed into evidence and a report was completed.

16:40 – An officer was dispatched to 1329 W. Austin St. in reference to a past-tense theft.

17:37 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to an employee theft. A 20-year-old male was arrested for shoplifting.

20:41 – An officer was dispatched to Murphy’s USA for a report of a male using counterfeit money.

Saturday, Dec. 31

16:06 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a theft in progress. One adult male was taken into custody for stealing along with possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassing.

22:53 – Officers responded to Walmart for a report of shoplifting. One subject was taken into custody.

22:56 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft. Charges of shoplifting will be sent to the Jasper County Juvenile Office on two male juveniles.
