Friday, April 1

Officers were dispatched to 1703 W. MacArthur Drive, Hurricane Car Wash, for past-tense property damage.

Wednesday, April 6

07:15 – Officers responded to a two-vehicle motor vehicle crash with no injuries at South Hall Street and East Tracy Steet.

Thursday, April 7

16:07 – I was dispatched to 711 N. Devon St. in reference to a damaged vehicle.

16:59 – An officer was dispatched to the area of West Macarthur Drive and South Colonial Drive in reference to a motor vehicle crash.

Saturday, April 9

18:13 – An officer was dispatched to 1001 S. Madison St. for theft of motor vehicle parts.

19:59 – An officer was dispatched to 217 S. Tom St. for theft of motor vehicle parts.

Sunday, April 10

11:52 – I conducted a traffic stop on Madison Street near 14th Street. Narcotics were found during a search of the vehicle. The driver was cited for possession of marijuana and released with a court date.

13:50 – I was contacted at WCPD about a past-tense fraud that occurred at 512 N. Main St.

21:26 – Officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle, non injury, motor vehicle crash at Betenbough and Lakeview drives. The 29-year-old male driver was arrested for DWI persistent offender and was placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges from the Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office.

23:14 – An individual stopped by WCPD to report their juvenile child ran away that night from their house, located in the 700 block of Campbell St. At approximately 23:37 hours, an officer located the juvenile.

21:50 – An Officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of Elm Court in reference to a disturbance in progress. Information pertaining to domestic assault was sent to the Jasper County Juvenile Office.

15:26 – I was dispatched to 1737 S. Hall St. for a possible motor vehicle accident involving a dog.

14:28 – I was dispatched to 518 S. Hall St. for a past-tense peace disturbance.

07:39 – I was dispatched to Caseys, 337 S. Main St., in reference to a shoplifter. A 52-year-old male was arrested for shoplifting.

Monday, April 11

I received a call from a Division of Family Services investigator stating he had been assigned a case that involved a 2-year-old child that had been bitten by a dog because of lack of supervision by her father. The incident allegedly happened on Sunday while the child was attending a birthday party. It was said to have happened in the 1800 block of S. Oronogo St.

Tuesday, April 12

23:05 – An officer attempted a traffic stop near Madison Street and Cardinal Drive in reference to traffic violations. The suspect led officers on a brief vehicle pursuit but ultimately stopped and was arrested for DWI, resisting arrest, driving while revoked, and open container.

17:37 – An officer was dispatched to 610 N. Main St., in reference to a domestic assault in progress.

12:42 – I was dispatched to the 800 block of N. Elliott St. for a medical call. An 81-year-old resident was taken to a local hospital on a 96-hour commit.

Wednesday, April 13

00:26 – I was dispatched to the 300 block of Oriole Drive in reference a check well being. One adult female was transported to the hospital for mental health evaluation.

09:00 – I took a report of possession of child pornography from the 600 block of N. Madison St. One adult male was arrested and transported to WCPD.

14:10 – I took a report of four female juveniles using marijuana in the 600 block of W. Aylor St. A report was forwarded to the juvenile office.

14:22 – An officer was contacted in reference to a fraud.

15:21 – An officer was dispatched to the 1800 block of Oronogo St. for an abandoned vehicle.

17:06 – Officers were called to the 300 block of N. Tom St. for a medical call. A 64-year-old male was found deceased from natural causes.

21:55 – While on general patrol, an officer found an abandoned bicycle at 703 Dawson Dr.

17:48 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a trespass in progress. A 28-year-old male and a 42-year-old female were issued citations for trespassing.

07:39 – I was dispatched to East and Gene Hatfield for a two-vehicle, non-injury, motor vehicle accident. A report was taken.

11:05 – An officer was dispatched to East and Aylor streets for a two-vehicle non-injury accident.

13:45 – I was dispatched to Atwoods for a past-tense theft.

Thursday, April 14

On 04-14-2022 at 0335 hours, an officer was dispatched to 303 E 3rd St Joplin Mo for a prisoner transport back to 211 W Broadway Webb City Mo. A report was taken.

05:48 – No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at the roundabout.

13:14 – An officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a missing person. Information was obtained and a report was created.

12:51 – I was dispatched to the 100 block of South Pennsylvania Street for a subject passed out. An ambulance later transported the female for a possible overdose.

18:57 – Officers were dispatched to King Jack Park in reference to an ex-parte violation. Information was obtained and charges will be sent to the Jasper County Prosecutors office on a 35-year-old male.

22:54 – Officers were dispatched to Main and Fourth streets in reference to a two-vehicle, non-injury, motor vehicle crash.

23:10 – Officers were dispatched to 1802 S. Oronogo Apt 7F for a domestic assault. Charges will be sent to the municipal prosecutor on a 31-year-old male.

Friday, April 15

02:45 – An officer was dispatched to 724 N. Madison St. in reference to a single-vehicle crash where the driver had left the vehicle and scene.

20:43 – Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of S. Ellis St. in reference to a report of child endangerment. A call was placed to the child abuse and neglect hotline. Two children were removed from the home temporarily, and a charge of child endangerment was filed against the 43-year-old mother.

21:38 – I was dispatched to Atwoods in reference to property damage.

Saturday, April 16

02:04 – Officers were dispatched to 714 W. Second St. in reference to a hit-and-run crash that had just occurred. The suspect vehicle was located abandoned in the alleyway behind this address, and the suspect was positively identified by witnesses as a neighbor. Charges are being sought on the 41-year-old vehicle owner/suspect.

04)) – I was dispatched to a theft in progress at Kum & Go, 411 S. Madison St. One adult male was taken into custody for stealing, minor in possession, and outstanding warrants for his arrest.

13:00 – I responded to the station in reference to a theft from 329 S. Liberty St. The victim reported someone stole a sword and a black electric guitar from his vehicle. The guitar had been previously located and will be returned to the owner.

13:12 – I was dispatched to 20 S. Main St. for a report of theft. The caller reported someone had stolen her white Mitsubishi Eclipse convertible from the public parking lot.

18:10 – An officer was dispatched to the police station lobby to speak with an individual in reference to a possible domestic assault that originally occurred at 310 W. Galena St. the same date. There was insufficient evidence to substantiate that a domestic assault had occurred, however an information report was completed.

18:38 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a person inside the store and trespassing. An arrest for trespassing was made on a 46-year-old white female.

19:28 – I was dispatched to 4494 Dirt Road in reference to an animal complaint. One adult male was cited for animal at large.

22:55 – I was dispatched to 419 N. Tom St. in reference a past-tense burglary.
