Friday, Feb. 17
20:57 – An officer was dispatched to Casey’s, 337 S. Main St. in reference to a past-tense shoplifting.
22:10 – An officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting call. A 40-year-old male was issued a citation for shoplifting and trespassing.
Saturday, Feb. 18
01:07 – A vehicle was stopped for lane violations at Madison and Seventh streets. A 19-year-old was arrested for DWI-zero tolerance.
02:12 – At Hall Street and Railroad Way a vehicle was stopped for traffic violations. The 26-year-old male driver was arrested for DWI.
09:48 – I received a call from a victim of a theft. The caller reported a former employee stole several power tools and pawned them at 1901 S. Madison St.
13:19 – I was dispatched to the station in reference to a theft from a garage at 311 S. Oronogo St.
16:44 – I arrived in the 500 block of S. Oakland St. for an animal control call. The caller reported two dogs running at large which belonged to the residents at 501 S. Oakland St.
Sunday, Feb. 19
00:15 – At Main and Tracy streets a vehicle was stopped for lane violations. The 35-year-old male driver was arrested for DWI.
02:16 – At Hall and Walker streets a vehicle was stopped for lane violation. The 52-year-old female driver was arrested for DWI.
16:39 – An officer was dispatched to 4551 E. Zora St. #2 in reference to a past-tense assault.
18:07 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Enterprise and Progress drives for a registration violation. The 22-year-old male driver was citied and arrested for failure to register a motor vehicle, expired drivers license and a Cherokee County, Kansas, warrant.
19:05 – An officer responded to WCPD in reference to a subject there wanting to report someone going through mailboxes at 715 S Walker St.
Monday, Feb. 20
I was advised of a past-tense incident where a juvenile male was allegedly being forced to sell a copious amount of marijuana by his father. The alleged incident was supposed to have happened in the 1200 block of Elm Court in Webb City.
00:52 – An officer was dispatched to 105 S. Tom St., in reference to a theft that had just occurred. A 20-year-old male was taken into custody and charged with stealing.
07:02 – I was dispatched to the barber shop at 330 S Jefferson St. in reference to a burglary.
12:24 – I was dispatched to Sleep Inn for a possible stolen trailer. The trailer was confirmed stolen, the owner was contacted and picked the trailer up.
12:25 – Officers conducted a traffic stop on North Oronogo Street at Broadway. One male was arrested for driving while revoked and warrants.
14:35 – Officers were dispatched to 521 S. Oakland St. for an assault in progress. One male was taken into custody on probable cause charges for domestic assault in the second degree. A probable cause statement has been sent to the Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office.
17:38 – An officer was dispatched to 712 W. Third St. in reference to a burglary.
22:42 – Officers initiated a traffic stop with a silver Mistubishi passenger car, reference equipment violations. A 30-year-old female passenger was arrested for an oustanding warrant, and the driver received a citation for failure to provide proof of insurance.
07:00 – I was dispatched to 1060 N. Madison St. for a past-tense property damage.
Tuesday, Feb. 21
01:04 – Officers were dispatched to 424 N. Webb St. in reference to an accident.
01:22 – Officers observed a suspicious vehicle at Casey’s, 337 S. Main St. The driver was contacted and taken into custody on outstanding arrest warrants.
19:04 – Officers were dispatched to Broadway and Madison Street for a two-vehicle, non-injury, motor vehicle crash. A 17-year-old male was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way.
21:02 – Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of S. Walker St., reference juveniles stealing a stop sign.
21:34 – Officers responded to WCPD in reference to a reported vehicle theft.
22:55 – Officers attempted to stop a vehicle near Fourth and Madison streets after it almost struck a pedestrian. The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit was initiated. A 25-year-old female was taken into custody on multiple violations.
23:45 – An officer conducted a pedestrian check on a suspicious male. He was issued citations for failure to identify and miscellaneous pedestrian violation.
23:46 – Officers were sent to 721 N. Ball St. for a past-tense domestic.
Wednesday, Feb. 22
07:24 – I received a call for service at Commerce Bank, 1311 S. Madison St., in reference to a motor vehicle accident.
07:36 – An officer was dispatched to 14th and Madison streets in reference to a non-injury crash.
08:00 – I responded to the station in reference to fraud. The victim reported she was coerced in to purchasing gift cards as part of a scam.
08:30 – I took a report of property damage in the 800 block of W. First St. that had occurred on Feb. 15 at 13:30. One male juvenile was charged with damaging a school computer and calculator, and the report was forwarded to the Jasper County Juvenile Office.
09:00 – I took a report of property damage in the 800 block of W. First St. that had occurred on Feb. 21 at 19:18. One male juvenile was charged with breaking a window.
09:38 – I received a call for service at 208 N. College St. in reference to a past-tense burglary.
22:49 – I made a traffic stop near 10th and Ball streets in reference a license violation. One adult male was taken into custody for driving while revoked.
Thursday, Feb. 23
06:00 – I received suspect information in a burglary case that was forwarded to investigations which led to additional leads and stolen property being recovered.
15:14 – I was dispatched to the 700 block of S. Walker St. for an assault. The caller reported her juvenile son was struck by another student at the bus stop.
15:54 – An officer stopped a black Ford Explorer near the intersection of Enterprise and Red Iron Drives in reference to a registration violation. The 60-year-old black male driver was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant for auto theft.
16:18 – I was dispatched to 1121 S. Oronogo St. for a report of lost or stolen license plates.
17:30 – Officers were dispatched to Main Street and MacArthur Drive for a two-vehicle accident.
21:31 – I was dispatched to 1632-B S. College St. in reference a prowler. It was found that an unknown suspect had attempted a theft from the back porch.
Friday, Feb. 24
Officers were dispatched to WCPD to take a report of property damage that had occurred at 203 E. Daughtery St.
Officers were dispatched to 805 N. East St. for a report of an employee who was armed and making threats. The subject was located and escorted from the property by officers. A probable cause statement has been submitted to the Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office.
07:33 – I was dispatched to 1787 Boyer Place in reference to theft from a motor vehicle.
08:56 – I was dispatched to 1201 S. Madison St. for a found item. I placed it into evidence.
09:37 – Officers were dispatched to 201 N. East St for a report of stolen vehicle parts.
15:51 – I was contacted at WCPD about a past-tense identity theft/fraud. The incident occurred at the victim’s address, 306 Golf Road.
15:59 – I stopped a vehicle for traffic violations. The 56-year-old male was arrested for no drivers license.
21:11 – Officers responded to 328 S. Pennsylvania St. in reference to fraud.
22:25 – Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of N. Hall St., reference a subject in a storm shelter. A male subject was arrested for trespassing and property damage.
Saturday, Feb. 25
16:30 – I was dispatched to 510 S. Walker St. for a past-tense property damage.
21:27 – Officers responded to a disturbance at 1224 S. Jefferson St. One subject was taken into custody.
22:16 – Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Gold Stream Drive reference gunshots fired. Evidence was collected and four juveniles were identified as suspects. A report has been forwarded to the juvenile office for review.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
