Wednesday, Feb. 22
19:43 – An officer was dispatched to 1707 Redwood Drive Apt. 25 in reference to a nuisance complaint. A 26-year-old female was cited for peace disturbance.
Thursday, Feb. 23
00:13 – An officer on routine patrol at Second and Main streets conducted a pedestrian check on a male subject. The 24-year-old male was taken into custody for active warrants.
22:10 – An officer on routine patrol at Broadway and Madison Street observed a male subject riding a bicycle knew the subject had active warrants. The 37-year-old male was taken into custody for the active warrants.
Sunday, Feb. 26
Officers made a traffic stop at Colonial and Stadium drives when the driver failed to stop and continued driving for a few blocks. Drug paraphernalia was recovered and one male was arrested on warrants and additional charges.
09:33 – Officers were dispatched to a non-injury crash at Daugherty and Main streets.
13:38 – I took a report of a dog bite that occurred at 709 Jillian Drive.
Monday, Feb. 27
08:45 – Officers were dispatched to Zora and Hall streets in reference to a non-injury crash. While enroute, one of the vehicles fled the scene and was located a short time later. Charges were submitted for the 38-year-old male driver who caused the crash.
09:47 – I responded to Webb City High School in reference to distribution of a controlled substance. Drug contraband was seized and potential charges forwarded to the Jasper County Juvenile Office.
12:07 – I was dispatched to Madison Street and Broadway for a two-vehicle, non-injury traffic crash.
14:19 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to theft of property in Gerald, Mo. The reporting person said he had money stolen from someone over the internet in Webb City.
15:45 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to a theft of property at 711 W. Third St.
22:59 – I observed a subject driving a motor vehicle near Austin and Jefferson streets who had a revoked drivers license. One adult male was cited for driving while revoked.
Tuesday, Feb. 28
01:48 – I made a traffic stop near MacArthur Drive and Oronogo Street in reference a license violation. One adult male was taken into custody for driving while revoked, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
09:26 – I responded to the station in reference to a found cell phone at Hawthorne Road and North East Street.
10:26 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to threats that had been received at 1103 Hillside Dr. Statements were gathered, evidence was obtained, and a summons was issued to the adult female suspect.
11:04 – I arrived in the 800 block of W. First St. for a report of drug possession.
14:01 – I received a call for service at 2077 Stadium Drive in reference to a motor vehicle accident at 1301 Stadium Drive.
15:36 – I received a call for service at 615-B, N. East St. in reference to disturbance in progress.
17:49 – I was dispatched to Fountain Road and Madison St. for a non injury, no fire, crash. A citation was issued.
19:05 – I conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that didn’t match the license plate number. A male was arrested for possession of controlled substance. A female was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. Search of the vehicle was conducted.
19:19 – Officers were dispatched to 608 N. Tom St. in reference to a suspicious vehicle. One adult male was taken into custody for outstanding warrants.
22:46 – I made a traffic stop near Washington and Austin streets in reference a license violation. One adult female was taken into custody for driving while suspended, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Wednesday, March 1
01:35 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Fourth and Liberty streets. One adult female was taken into custody for driving with no valid license.
13:30 – Officers were dispatched to 405 E. Fifth St. for a warrant arrest.
13:36 – I was contacted by phone about a past-tense assault that occurred at Walmart.
16:10 – I was dispatched to 807 W First St. for suspicious activity.
19:23 – Officers along with Webb City Fire Department were dispatched to the 800 block of W. 11th St., reference a fire with property damage.
22:35 – Officers were dispatched to 828 N. Tom St. for a domestic in progress.
Thursday, March 2
02:44 – Officers were dispatched to Casey’s, 337 S. Main St. for a theft in progress.
06:29 – I was dispatched to Macarthur Drive and Ellis Street in reference to a motor vehicle crash.
15:22 – I was dispatched to the Webb City Middle School in reference to a possible intoxicated driver enroute there to pick up her child. A 38-year-old female was arrested for DWI.
17:35 – Officers responded to 1702 Boyer Drive in reference to property damage.
Friday, March 3
10:35 – I was dispatched to WCPD in reference to a past-tense assault that occurred in the 800 block of W. First St. I made contact with the victim and guardian. A request for assault charges were forwarded to the Jasper County Juvenile Office.
15:30 – I was dispatched to RNR Tire Express, 2301 N. Range Line Road, for a report of drug activity. The caller watched as a store customer held what appeared to be a meth pipe while inside the store. Upon contact, two male subjects provided false identification. One of the subjects provided a suspected meth pipe and later ran from officers on foot to avoid arrest. He was located and captured a short distance away. A 24-year-old man was arrested for providing false information. A 26-year-old man was arrested for providing false information, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, and felony fugitive from justice.
20:55 – As a result of the traffic stop at South Main and Third Street, a 56-year-old male was taken into custody for an active warrant out of Carterville PD.
Saturday, March 4
01:27 – An officer made a traffic stop near Range Line Road and Zora Street in reference to traffic and equipment violations. One adult male was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.
14:57 – I received a call for service at 721 N. Ball St. in reference to a disturbance in progress.
15:42 – I recieved a call for service at 1914 Chickadee Dr. for an exparte violation.
21:51 – I made a traffic stop near Fountain Road and Hall Street in reference a stolen license plate. One adult female was taken into custody for driving while revoked.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
