March 15, 2023

Monday, Feb. 20

Officers took a report of theft from Walmart. Money had been stolen out of a lost, then recovered, purse. A report has been taken.

Saturday, March 4

00:50 – A traffic stop was made at Fountain Road and Madison Street on a vehicle with no license plates. A 63-year-old male was arrested for DWI.

22:41 – Officers were dispatched to 815 W. Daugherty St. in reference to property damage. One adult male was given a citation for property damage.

Sunday, March 5

07:47 – I recieved a call for property damage at 318 Crestwood Drive.

08:11 – At Cedar Street and Broadway I attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to yield at a stop sign. After not yielding to a emergency vehicle with lights and siren for around three blocks, the driver finally stopped at West Austin Street and was placed into custody.

11:30 – In the 800 block of W. 11th St., I was dispatched to a suicidal subject, who was transported to hospital.

12:12 – I was dispatched to MacArthur Drive and Hall Street for a two-vehicle, non injury, traffic crash. A 63-year-old man was arrested for driving while intoxicated and possession of an open container of alcohol.

12:19 – I received a call for service at Prairie Flower Road and Logan Drive in reference to a motor vehicle accident.

17:11 – An officer was dispatched to 1413 W. 12th St. in reference to a theft from vehicle. The victim reported someone had stolen a leaf blower from their vehicle.

Monday, March 6

Officers received information that a subject with warrants for his arrest was behind 4 S. Ball St. The subject was located and taken into custody.

01:47 – Officers conducted a traffic stop at Zora Street and the railroad tracks. One adult male was taken into custody for driving on a highway with no valid drivers license.

09:50 – Officers took a report for suspicious activity that had occurred at 210 S. Webb St.

10:20 – Officers were dispatched to 923 W. Fourth St. at Newman’s Auto Sales for a lost item.

13:13 – I was dispatched to the 1200 block of S. Madison St. for a two-vehicle, non-injury, traffic crash. Driver 1 attempted a northbound turn out of a private drive and collided with southbound Vehicle 2.

14:49 – I was dispatched to a domestic assault call at 23 S Oronogo St.

15:45 – I arrived in the 800 block of W. First St. reference a report of a juvenile in possession of THC. A report was taken and charges forwarded to the county juvenile office.

17:32 – An officer was dispatched to 621 N. Madison St. in reference to a hit-and-run.

Tuesday, March 7

Officers responded to 702 N. Hall St., where an abandoned vehicle had been tagged for tow. The vehicle was towed and the person responsible for the vehicle was notified.

Officers were dispatched to 1027 W. Daugherty St. for an animal complaint. Two loose dogs killed five rabbits. Dogs were located and taken to the humane society. The dogs’ owner was contacted and issued summons for animal violations.

11:13 – I was dispatched to 324 N. Tom St. Apt. 306 for a theft.

21:11 – Officers responded to 1338 Matthew Circle in reference to a protection order violation.

Wednesday, March 8

07:30 – I arrived at 1427 W. Aylor St. reference a report of suspicious activity. One male subject was contacted and arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

10:22 – I was dispatched to WCPD in reference to a missing person. The reporting party advised a family member was last seen at a Greyhound bus station on March 1 at 1600 hours in Anaheim Calif.

15:02 – I responded to the station for a theft. The victim reported her ex-boyfriend stole the keys to her car and mailbox from 4464 Country Boulevard on Oct. 29, 2022.

Thursday, March 9

00:44 – An officer was patrolling near South Jefferson and West First streets when an attempt was made to contact a subject on a bicycle. That subject fled on foot but was apprehended and charged with resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance.

04:54 – I made a traffic stop near Myrtle and Zora streets in reference a license violation. One adult male was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

09:35 – I was dispatched to 1410 N. Main St. regarding a traffic accident and vehicle fleeing from the scene.

16:27 – I was dispatched to WCPD for a theft at 630 Golf Rd.

22:01 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at 16th and Washington streets. One adult male was taken into custody for possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Friday, March 10

01:01 – An officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of South Madison and West Fourth streets. A 22-year-old male was taken into custody for active warrants out of our city.

11:30 – I arrived in the 800 block of W. First St. reference a male juvenile in possession of a THC vape. The item was seized and a report sent to the county juvenile office.

12:49 – Officers located and recovered a stolen vehicle at 4550 Half Circle Rd. The vehicle was returned to the owner.

18:21 – Officers were dispatched to WCPD reference a walk-in. The 24-year-old female was arrested for drug violations.

20:29 – An officer was dispatched to Walmart for the theft of a cell phone.
