Wednesday, March 22, 2023

Friday, March 10
09:53 –Officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with injury. One female was transported with minor injuries to a local hospital.

Saturday, March 11

20:32 – Officers were dispatched to 1700-B Bluebird  Drive for a physical domestic.

Sunday, March 12

10:10 – I was dispatched to 1848 S. Oronogo St. Apt 2C in reference to a disturbance. Dispatch advised a female was yelling that her husband was trying to give her heroin. A 43-year-old female was arrested for misuse of 911.

12:54 – I was dispatched to the Frisco Greenway Trail near Fifth Street for possible shot fired. Two subjects were detained on the trail. One juvenile was released to a parent. The other subject was taken into custody for unlawful use of a weapon and narcotics charges.

14:24 – I was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash at Oronogo and Third streets.

20:33 – Officers responded to 1731 S. Madison St. for a stolen vehicle.

20:04 – Officers were on patrol near Broadway and Madison Street when a vehicle with a malfunctioning brake light was observed. A traffic stop was conducted and a 44-year-old male was arrested on outstanding misdemeanor and felony warrants.

 

Monday, March 13

10:44 – On 03/13/2023 at 1044 hours, I received a call for service at Powell Drive and MacArthur Drive in reference to a motor vehicle accident.

10:58 – I was dispatched to Atwoods, 220 S. East St., for a past-tense property theft.

11:34 – I received a call for service at 906 Joanne Drive in reference to stealing.

16:42 – I received a call for service at Walmart in reference to motor vehicle theft.

17:22 – Dispatch received a call for service in reference to a past-tense assault.

Tuesday, March 14

08:20 – I was dispatched to 318 Crestwood Dr. for property damage by vandalism.

11:12 – I was dispatched to WCPD for a report of theft of property at Walmart.

14:27 – I was dispatched to 1707-36 Redwood Dr. for a nuisance complaint, which was handled then while leaving recieved a call for fight in progress involving same address and subjects.

19:08 – I was dispatched to Washington Street and Broadway in reference to property damage.

23:48 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Eighth Street and Jefferson Street. One adult female was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant out of Newton County.

Wednesday, March 15

01:01 – Officers were dispatched to Casey’s, 337 S. Main St., in reference to a shoplifting in progress. The report will be forwarded to the Jasper County Juvenile Office for review.

11:43 – I conducted a traffic stop on Enterprise Avenue near Progress Avenue. The driver was later taken into custody for an outstanding warrant.

19:15 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Main Street and MacArthur Drive for a registration violation. The 62-year-old female driver was issued a citation for failure to register a motor vehicle. The 36-year-old female passenger was arrested on Webb City warrants.

19:23 – While on general patrol, an officer initiated a traffic stop near 12th and Madison streets with a spray-painted scooter that had no functioning rear lights. The scooter was towed due to the VIN plates being destroyed.

19:32 – Officers stopped a suspicious vehicle at mile marker 5 on southbound Highway 249. Two subjects were identified in reference to a felony theft, and one was taken into custody for an outstanding arrest warrant.

23:00 – An officer was dispatched to 814 S. Zigler St. for reported theft of property.

Thursday, March 16

06:14 – I was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Roane St. for a medical call. Officers arrived along with EMT’s. One female was found to be deceased of natural causes in the residence.

10:09 – On 03-16-2023 at 1009 hours, I arrived at 1919 N. Rangeline for a warrant arrest. A 38-year-old man was arrested on active Seneca warrants.

16:06 – I was dispatched to 1229 S. Hall St. in reference to a stolen crossbow.

16:24 – I was dispatched to the station in reference to fraud, which had occurred at 1311 S. Madison St. The caller reported someone stole her debit card to make two unauthorized transactions at the ATM.

17:46 – Officers responded to the intersection of Zora Street and Range Line Road in regards to a two-vehicle, non-injury crash.

Friday, March 17

01:02 – Officers responded to Mercy Hospital Joplin in reference to a gunshot victim seeking treatment. The victim stated that he was shot in Webb City. *According to Police Chief Don Melton, “This appears to be an isolated incident with the victim as the target. However, the victim is not assisting with our investigation. There shouldn’t be any danger to the public.”

09:24 – I received a call for service at 1734 Betenbough Way in reference to identity theft.

17:05 – Officers observed an off-road ATV in a wash bay at Hurricane Car Wash, 1703 W. MacArthur Drive, being washed by a male subject who was believed to be wanted on a felony arrest warrant. The subject fled on foot from several officers. The 31-year-old male was pursued, captured, and arrested for an outstanding felony warrant as well as a new charge of resisting arrest.

21:03 – I was dispatched to a exparte violation, at 402 N. Walker St. A female was taken into custody.

Saturday, March 18

00:04 – I was dispatched to tow an abandoned vehicle on Shawn and Powell drives. The vehicle was confirmed and towed.

00:22 – Officers were dispatched to 66 Sports Bar, 660 E. Daugherty St., in reference to a fight in progress. A 29-year-old male was arrested for warrants, resisting and assault on law enforcement, and a 54-year-old female was arrested for DWI, resisting and driving while suspended.

13:07 – Officers were dispatched to 402 N. Walker St. for a disturbance.

19:33 – I was dispatched to a single-vehicle accident at Powell and MacArthur drives. One adult female was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated and open container.
