Wednesday, March 29, 2023

Saturday, March 18

17:11 – Officers were dispatched to 15th and Madison streets for a unknown injury motor vehicle crash. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived and was later found at 1500 S. Madison St., where he was placed under arrest for DWI.

22:49 – I was dispatched for a suicidal subject who had just left the 1400 block of S. Jefferson St. heading north. Subject was put on a 96-hour hold at Mercy Hospital.

Sunday, March 19

00:07 – I made a traffic stop at College and Daugherty streets in reference a license violation. One adult male was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant.

01:49 – A vehicle was stopped for lane violations. The 45-year-old female driver was arrested for DWI.

10:00 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to an Amazon Fire tablet that had been stolen or lost the day before at King Jack Park.

13:27 – Officers were dispatched to Cedar and Austin streets for a disturbance. The caller reported a man threatened to kill and shoot him. A 32-year-old male suspect was located and arrested for peace disturbance and resisting arrest.

14:33 – I received a call for service at 1224 S. Jefferson St. in reference to a past-tense assault.

21:37 – I was dispatched to 748 N. Campbell St. for an animal complaint. The owner was identified and arranged to meet at 1101 W. Mineral to retrieve the dog. Owner was confirmed for warrants out of Webb City and taken into custody.

14:06 – I received a call for service at 1315 S. Hall St. in reference to trespass in progress. A male was subsequently arrested for trespass.

Monday, March 20

07:45 – I conducted a traffic stop on Highway 171 near Ellis Street. The driver was later taken into custody for an outstanding warrant.

09:11 – Officers received a report of property damage at the King Jack Park splash pad bathrooms.

11:50 – I was dispatched to Walmart in reference to shoplifting. A 39-year-old male was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Charges for resisting arrest, stealing and being a fugitive from justice were sent to the Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office.

19:48 – An officer was dispatched to 1214 W. Seventh St. for a theft of property.

19:51 – On March 20th at approximately 1951 hours Officers responded to 701-D S. Walker in reference to a check well being. Information was obtained and a report was taken.

Tuesday, March 21

08:00 – On 03/21/2023 at 0800 hours, I was dispatched to the 1300 block of Nelson to assist with a medical call. The patient was pronounced dead by EMT’s and medical personal on the scene. A report was generated.

17:45 – Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of N. Webb St. for an armed subject who had threatened his family. One male was taken into custody without incident and transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation.

18:41 – Officers responded to the roundabout for a two-vehicle non-injury crash.

19:18 – Officers responded to WCPD in reference to property damage that occurred at Walmart.

Wednesday, March 22

06:06 – I received a call for service at 502 N. Roane St. in reference to motor vehicle theft.

09:07 – I was dispatched to WCPD in reference to a stolen identity report that occurred within the city limits in August 2022 via cyberspace.

14:43 – An officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a subject on the parking lot actively consuming and inhaling canned air. One 63-year-old white male was arrested for inhaling solvents, as well as assault on law enforcement.

15:30 – An officer was dispatched to 727 W. 12th St. in reference to a violation of a protective order.

22:45 – An officer observed a male running behind 811 Meadow Circle. When stopped the male failed to give officers identification due to the him having a warrant out of Jasper County.

23:09 – I was dispatched to a report of loud music from the house at 214 S. Roane St. A citation was issued.

Thursday, March 23

10:47 – I received a call for service in the 700 block of W. Austin St. in reference to a domestic disturbance and suicidal subject.

11:37 – Officers were dispatched to Madison Street and MacArthur Drive for a non-injury crash.

14:23 – Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of S. Jefferson St. in reference a disturbance.

22:46 – I was dispatched to 1604 S. Ellis St. for a crash that didn’t involve injury or fire. The accident happened on private property and resulted in property damage.

Friday, March 24

09:19 – I was dispatched to Lawver Storage, 2549 S. Hall St., in reference to property damage.

11:00 – Officers received a medical call at 324 N. Tom St.

14:29 – I was dispatched to King Jack Park for suspicious activity. Three juveniles were contacted and later released to their parents. A property damage report was taken.

Saturday, March 25

01:09 – Officers on general patrol in the area of Casey’s, 337 S Main St., observed juveniles out after curfew. It was learned that a theft had occurred. The male fled on foot and a pursuit was initiated. A 19-year-old male was arrested and charged with minor visibly intoxicated, stealing, and resisting.

02:35 – Officers contacted a wanted subject at 501 S. Oakland St. One subject was taken into custody on multiple charges.

08:37 – I was dispatched to Madison Street and MacArthur Drive for a two-vehicle, non-injury, motor vehicle accident.

21:27 – A subject came to WCPD to report a domestic assault that occurred at 701 S. Liberty St.
