Friday, April 7
20:58 – An officer observed a motor vehicle driving north on Madison Street with out any head lights. A traffic stop was conducted at Ninth Street. A 33-year-old male was arrested for driving while revoked.
Saturday, April 8
03:53 – Officers were on general patrol near Range Line and Zora Street. A traffic stop was conducted with a Mercury Grand Marquis for displaying incorrect plates. A 23-year-old male was arrested on an oustanding warrant. A consent search of the vehicle was conducted and drug paraphernalia containing probable methamphetamines was located.
21:43 – An officer was dispatched to 121 W. Broadway for a disturbance in progress. A 38-year-old male was arrested for resisting arrest and for fighting in public.
Sunday, April 9
03:22 – Officers were called to the 1000 block of W. First St. in reference to a disturbance. Upon their arrival, officers found a 39-year-old Hispanic female from Joplin unresponsive. Officers began CPR until EMS arrived on scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased. Due to the apparent manner of death, we are investigating this as a homicide.
11:16 – I was dispatched to Craves, 1617 S. MacArthur Drive for found property.
13:29 – I was contacted at WCPD for a past-tense harassment that occurred at 1382 B Canyon Trails.
14:47 – Officers were dispatched to King Jack Park, in reference to a juvenile displaying a pocket knife in a threatening manner. The juvenile office was contacted and charges have been submitted to them.
18:50 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD for a walk-in report about an aggressive dog. As a result of the investigation, a 39-year-old male received citations for dog at large and vicious animal.
20:27 – Officers were dispatched to Casey’s, 1525 S. Madison St., reference a female calling 911 making irrational statements. A 28-year-old female was transported to WCPD and placed on a 12-hour safekeep.
23:46 – Officers responded to a commercial burglary alarm at 1612 S. Madison St. Obvious forced entry occurred.
Monday, April 10
00:31 – Officers were dispatched to the area of 607 N. Ball St. for gunshots heard.
07:11 – I received a call for service at 1304 W. Broadway in reference to found property.
09:20 – Officers were dispatched to First and Jefferson streets in reference to a suspicious person. An adult male was arrested and transported to the Webb City jail for vehicle tampering and stealing.
16:06 – I received a call for service at 777 W. Cardinal Drive in reference to a domestic in progress.
Tuesday, April 11
01:13 – I received a call for service at 11th and Madison streets in reference to a motor vehicle accident.
03:36 – I made contact with a vehicle in front of 806 Wilson St. in reference a stolen license plate. One adult female was taken into custody for stealing, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
12:41 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to property damage at 502 N. Ball St.
16:59 – I received a call for service in the 900 block of N. East St. in reference to a departmental assist with the Childrens Division.
19:04 – I was dispatched to a minor-injury accident at 1310 S. Madison St. No citations were issued.
Wednesday, April 12
07:11 – I was dispatched to 502 N. Elliot St. in reference to theft from a motor vehicle.
11:50 – Officers were dispatched to Oronogo and First streets for a dog bite. A 38-year-old male was issued a citation for vicious animal.
14:15 – I was dispatched to MacArthur Drive and Madison Street for a motor vehicle crash.
16:01 – I was dispatched to Daugherty and Oronogo streets for a flourishing a weapon call.
16:10 – I was dispatched to WCPD in reference to identity theft at 1802 S. Oronogo Apt. 2D.
16:18 – Officers were dispatched to a unknown type of trouble call at 1401 S. Madison St. Two people had been passed out in a vehicle for approximately 30 minutes. One male and one female were arrested for drug trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Thursday, April 13
07:00 – I was dispatched to 1607 Gold Steam Apt. A for a stolen vehicle.
08:17 – Officers were dispatched to a physical domestic in progress at 1848 S. Oronogo St. apt 7D. One adult male was arrested for domestic assault and additional charges.
11:04 – Officers were dispatched to 4490 Dirt Road for a domestic. A 52-year-old male was arrested for domestic assault.
13:13 – Officers were dispatched to East and First streets for a verbal disturbance in progress. One female was arrested for driving while revoked.
14:32 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to a past-tense crash report, which had occurred at the roundabout.
17:29 – An officer was dispatched to 1116 Mineral St. in reference to a possible theft.
Friday, April 14
07:19 – I received a call for service at 910 W. First St. in reference to a theft from motor vehicle.
10:40 – I received a call for service at 619 N. Ball St. in reference to a theft from motor vehicle. The victim reported during overnight hours property was stolen from her vehicle.
13:30 – I received a call for service at 501 S. Pennsylvania St. in reference to found property.
15:15 – I was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Ball St. for a disturbance. The caller reported her 53-year-old son was having hallucinations of people in and near the residence trying to harm him. He was using a knife to chase them away and protect himself. The man was taken to a local hospital for a mental evaluation.
16:08 – I was dispatched to the 800 block of N. Madison St. for a runaway. The resident reported her son had not returned home from school.
19:00 – Officers conducted a car stop at MacArthur and Powell drives. One male was arrested for several charges.
21:34 – I initiated a traffic stop on a black Nissan Altima for expired tags. One female was taken into custody for no driver’s license and report was taken.
Saturday, April 15
Officers conducted a traffic stop at East and Daugherty streets. One female was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
13:29 – An officer was dispatched to the roundabout in reference to a non-injury crash.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
