18:30 – Officers were dispatched to the area of East and First streets for a single-vehicle injury crash. Two people were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and a report was taken.
Friday, July 21
04:35 – Officers were dispatched to WCPD in reference to fraudulent use of an EBT card.
Sunday, July 23
07:44 – I received call for service at Hall Street and Railroad Way in reference to a John Deere gator being parked on the railroad tracks. The gator was located and found to have been stolen from a Webb City Parks building.
13:47 – Officers were dispatched to Hot Stone Pizzeria, 111 N. Madison St., in reference to a theft. Video footage was collected and a male subject was identified.
15:44 – Officers were dispatched to Madison Street and MacArthur Drive in reference to a possible intoxicated driver. The reported vehicle was located and stopped near Fountain Road and Madison Street. The 36-year-old female driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
19:37 – I was dispatched to 1513 Brewster Lane in reference to debit card theft.
19:43 – I was dispatched to 1209 W. Seventh St. for a report of stolen vehicle.
21:58 – Officers were dispatched to 1525 S. Madison in reference to a suspicious male. One adult male was taken into custody for stealing.
Monday, July 24
10:09 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a theft.
20:28 – Officers were dispatched to 807 N. Walker St. in reference to property damage.
Tuesday, July 25
I was contacted via phone that a female had been bitten by a cat at 1108 Oak Way.
01:25 – Officers were dispatched to Casey’s, 337 S. Main St., for a warrant service. One adult male was arrested for misdemeanor warrants without issue.
01:35 – An officer was dispatched to 930 W. Broadway in reference to a theft.
07:55 – Officers were dispatched to 1060 N. Madison St. for a theft.
09:46 – Officers responded to Hurricane Carwash, 1703 W. Macarthur Drive, for a past-tense littering.
12:58 – An officer at WCPD took a walk-in report of theft at 603 N. Liberty St.
16:08 – Officers were dispatched to the roundabout for a two-vehicle, non-injury, motor vehicle crash. An 18-year-old male was issued a citation for improper lane use.
23:00 – On 07-25-2023 at about 2300 hours, and officer conducted a traffic stop at East St and Macarthur Dr. As a result one male was arrested for DWI.
Wednesday, July 26
01:25 – Officers were dispatched to Casey’s, 337 S. Main St., in reference to a possible intoxicated driver. One male was arrested for DWI and railing to obey a lawful order.
09:40 – I received a call for service at 815 W. Daugherty St. in reference to a suspicious person. A male was subsequently arrested for a Jasper County warrant and transported to the Jasper County jail.
14:10 – I received a call for service at 214 S. Roane St. in reference to a male there with Webb City warrants for his arrest. He was arrested and transported to the Webb City jail, where he was held in lieu of bond.
21:00 – I received a phone call from the dispatcher stating there is a young female at Mercy Hospital in Carthage with her mother stating she has been raped. The incident is alleged to have taken place in the twelve hundred block of Heather Ln. in Webb City earlier in the evening. As a result of this information a report was generated and an investigation initiated.
Thursday, July 27
12:55 – I received a call for service at Daugherty and Webb streets in reference to a non-injury motor vehicle accident.
13:31 – Officers were disaptched to Casey’s, 1525 S. Madison St., reference a past-tense assault.
13:55 – Officers were dispatched to Broadway and Oronogo Street reference found property. An Apple watch was placed into evidence for safekeeping.
13:58 – Officers were dispatched to Broadway and Oak Street reference found property. A wallet was seized and placed into evidence
15:02 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Hall and Zora streets. A 44-year-old male driver was cited for failure to register a motor vehicle and no proof of insurance. He also had Carthage city warrants.
21:44 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to a report of a runaway juvenile from the 700 block of W. Daugherty St. Also, a 56-year-old female was taken into custody for an active warrant out of Jasper County.
22:01 – An officer was dispatched to the roundabout in reference to a non-injury motor vehicle accident.
Friday, July 28
Officers were dispatched to Casey’s, 337 S. Madison St., for found property.
05:00 – An officer was dispatched to 201 N. Main St. Apt 2, in reference to a subject needing assistance getting into his apartment. As a result of the call, a 32-year-old male was taken into custody for an active warrant out of Jasper County.
07:00 – A prisoner was released from custody but left property in the station lobby.
21:30 – Officers were dispatched to 603 N. Hall St. in reference to a possible burglary in progress. A 25-year-old male was arrested for peace disturbance and trespassing.
23:29 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Range Line Road and Zora Street. The 24-year-old male driver was arrested on a Joplin warrant.
Saturday, July 29
01:26 – A traffic stop was initiated at MacArthur Drive and East Street. One male was taken into custody and transported to Webb City Jail for an outstanding Jasper County warrant.
07:58 – Officers responded to 4466 Country Blvd. for a reported theft at 4449 Country Blvd.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
