20:03 – I was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft in progress. One female was cited for shoplifting and one male was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant.
Friday, Sept. 1
18:04 – I was dispatched to 475 S. Madison St. in reference to a two-vehicle, non-injury crash.
Saturday, Sept. 2
22:29 – An officer responded to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting call. A 25-year-old male was cited for shoplifting.
23:04 – I was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a past-tense theft. One female was given a citation for stealing.
Sunday, Sept. 3
00:46 – I was dispatched to the roundabout as a backup unit for a traffic stop. A 20-year-old was arrested for DWI.
07:34 – An officer was dispatched to 4545 E. Zora St. in reference to a past-tense theft.
07:48 – Officers were dispatched to 10th and Oronogo streets in reference to a vehicle crash that had just occurred. A witness reported seeing a white passenger car strike a parked vehicle and continue without stopping.
09:16 – I was dispatched to 1101 Mineral St. for a burglary past-tense. It was found the incident was not a burglary but a civil matter.
10:19 – I received a call for service at 4557 E. Zora St. in reference to a theft of a license plate from a motor vehicle.
14:07 – I received a call for service at 216 N. Roane St. in reference to a missing person.
14:28 – I was dispatched to 1127 S. Oronogo St. for a theft of property.
15:45 – I was dispatched to WCPD for found property in King Jack Park.
23:54 – An officer made a traffic stop at the intersection of Fourth and Main streets. One female was taken into custody for driving while revoked and outstanding warrants.
Monday, Sept. 4
11:56 – I was dispatched to the roundabout for a two-vehicle, non-injury motor vehicle accident.
11:56 – Officers were working a traffic crash at the roundabout when a Chevy passenger car drove over traffic cones and between patrol cars nearly striking a patrol car and driving through the active crash scene. The driver was issued multiple summons.
12:22 – Officers responded to 705 S. Madison St. for a domestic in progress. One male was issued a summons and agreed to leave for the day.
13:44 – I was dispatched to a shoplifting call at Walmart. A 42-year-old female was arrested for shoplifting, possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking 2nd, delivery of a controlled substance and a Newton County warrant.
14:07 –Officers were dispatched to a disturbance at 4499 Dirt Rd. Officers located and arrested a male with Webb City warrants.
17:22 – An officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft. One 30-year-old female was taken into custody for stealing and trespassing.
22:25 – An officer was dispatched to 1101 Mineral St. for a past-tense burglary.
Tuesday, Sept. 5
09:06 – I observed a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee parked on the side of the road on Zora Street west of Ackerson Street. The vehicle was blocking a driveway, and the left wheel was partially in the road. It was towed.
09:55 – Officers were dispatched to 1101 Mineral S.t for a report of property damage. One male was arrested for multiple city and state charges.
14:35 – I was dispatched to the 600 block of S. Jefferson St. for a male runaway. The runaway was later found to be in the custody of his father.
14:37 – Officers were dispatched to WCPD for a violation of a protection order that occurred at Main Street and MacArthur Drive. Charges have been forwarded to the Jasper County Prosecutor.
16:15 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to a traffic complaint at Stadium Drive and Colonial Drive. A 22-year-old male was arrested for DWI.
1853 – An officer was dispatched to 536 S. Hall St. in reference to a past-tense theft that occurred earlier that day.
19:59 – I responded to a burglary in progress at 1426 Crow St. A 53-year-old female was taken into custody.
Wednesday, Sept. 6
02:37 – An officer initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Crestwood Drive and Suzanne Lane for an obstructed temporary tag. One 20-year-old female was cited and arrested for failure to register a motor vehicle, failure to provide proof of financial responsibility, operating a motor vehicle with no license, and driving while intoxicated.
10:30 – I received a call for service at 804 S. Hall St. in reference to fraudulent use of credit device at Walmart.
13:15 – I arrived at 916 Megan Lane for a disturbance. A 67-year-old man was arrested for domestic assault.
15:35 – The victim reported that her bicycle, pull-behind trailer, and backpack were stolen at City Hall while she was in Municipal Court.
15:48 – Officers were dispatched to the roundabout in reference to a non-injury crash.
16:00 – A 53-year-old woman was interviewed at WCPD and later sent to a local hospital for a mental evaluation.
17:20 – Officers were dispatched to Madison Street and Broadway in reference to a non-injury crash.
21:50 – An officer made a traffic stop near Madison and 10th streets in reference to traffic violations. One adult male was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated and driving while revoked.
21:51 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Centennial Drive and Tracy Street that resulted with one adult female being placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant out of Joplin.
Thursday, Sept. 7
03:32 – Officers were dispatched to 1502 S Ellis St. Apt 61 in reference to a 911 hang-up call. A report was taken for domestic assault and a 41-year-old male was taken in custody and charged with domestic assault.
10:55 –I received a call for service at Fountain Road and Madison Street in reference to a motor vehicle accident.
Friday, Sept. 8
01:58 – I was dispatched to 3230 E. Zora St. in reference a stolen vehicle. A stolen vehicle was recovered.
04:32 – Officers were dispatched to S. Oronogo Street and 11th Street in reference to a disturbance in progress. A 38-year-old male was taken in custody for an active warrant out of El Dorado Springs.
13:28 – Officers took a walk-in report for a theft of property at WCPD that occurred at 1632 S. Madison St.
13:56 – I was dispatched to Ware Street and Railroad Way for a male subject throwing rocks at vehicles. A 52-year-old male was arrested for failure to ID, trespassing and assault on a law enforcement officer.
15:30 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD for a report of found property. The items were placed into evidence.
15:32 – Officers were dispatched to the area of Third and Madison Streets for a non-injury motor vehicle crash.
16:04 – Officers responded to a motor vehicle crash on Madison Street at Seventh Street.
Saturday, Sept. 9
Officers were dispatched to 3121 E. Zora St. for found property.
02:59 – An officer initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Madison Street and MacArthur Drive for failure to stop at the stop line. One 39-year-old male was arrested and cited for driving while intoxicated, and failure to stop at the stop line.
19:19 – Officers were dispatched to the roundabout for a two-vehicle, non-injury, motor vehicle crash. A 49-year-old female was issued a citation for improper lane use.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
