Thursday, Sept. 28

14:57 – I was dispatched to Four State Dental Care, 501 S. Madison St., in reference to money stolen from an employee.

Sunday, Oct. 1

20:09 – At Betenbough Drive and Prairie Flower Road, an officer conducted a traffic stop that resulted in one male being arrested for an active warrant.

20:40 – I was dispatched to White Oak Station, 2587 N. Range Line Road, to check the well-being of a male individual.

01:45 – I made a traffic stop near Main Street and Gene Hatfield Drive in reference a traffic violation. One adult male was taken into custody for felony possession of a controlled substance and outstanding warrants.

16:58 – I stopped a black Ford Escape on Oronogo Street at 16th Street for a traffic violation. The male driver was subsequently arrested for a Newton County warrant.

18:10 – I was dispatched to 807 N. Walker St. regarding a past-tense disturbance.

21:06 – I was dispatched to 1320 S. Oronogo St. in reference a past-tense theft.

22:20 – I was dispatched to 1802 S. Oronogo St. in reference to a trespass in progress. One male fled on foot and is being cited for resisting.

22:44 – An officer was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Hall St. in reference to a possible suicidal subject who wanted to go to the hospital for evaluation. A 49-year-old female was transported to the hospital and placed on a 96-hour mental evaluation hold.

Monday, Oct. 2

09:14 – Officers were dispatched to a crash on MacArthur Drive near Centennial Street.

14:27 – Officers responded to a motor vehicle crash at the roundabout.

Tuesday, Oct. 3

09:10 – Officers were dispatched to Pennsylvania and Ware streets for a found Item. The property was collected and entered into evidence.

18:08 – An officer was dispatched to 505 S. Elliot St. for a report of property damage.

Wednesday, Oct. 4

09:59 – Officers were dispatched to Cardinal Towers, 324 N. Tom St., in reference to an assault that had just occurred.

12:43 – Officers were dispatched to Webb City High School, 621 N. Madison St. in reference to a past-tense violation of an ex parte.

13:42 – An officer was dispatched to the area of First and Main streets in reference to an assault that had occurred the same date at Flag City Brewing, 618 W. Fourth St.

23:16 – I was dispatched to R&S Trailers, 402 S. Jefferson St. in reference to a stolen vehicle.

Thursday, Oct. 5

08:04 – I conducted a traffic stop at MacArthur Drive and Oronogo Street and took a subject into custody.

15:00 – I was dispatched to 604 S. Madison St. for a non-injury crash.

21:53 – I was dispatched to a residence at 721 S. Madison St. in reference to a fraud after the fact. One male and one female were given citations.

The alleged fraud, as explained by Police Chief Don Melton goes like this: The woman selects items and checks out in the automotive department. Minutes later, the man takes the receipt back to the store, puts many of the same items in his cart and then attempts to “return” them at the customer service desk for a refund.

Friday, Oct. 6

14:18 – I was dispatched to 1408 Mary Lane #B for a past-tense fraud that occurred at 220 N. East St.

Chief Melton says this was a matter of buyer’s remorse for paying $400 for a lemon of a vehicle.

Saturday, Oct. 7

17:27 – An officer was dispatched to the roundabout in reference to a two-vehicle, non-injury, motor vehicle crash.

22:04 – An officer was dispatched to U-Do We-Do Laundry, 1460 S. Madison St., in reference to a two-vehicle, non-injury traffic crash.
