18:32 – On 10/05/2023 at 1832 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the Webb City Police Department, in reference to an incident that occurred at 2320 S Hall St, Don’s Cold Storage. As a result of the call for service an informational report was taken.
Tuesday, Oct. 17
20:54 – An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at East and Daugherty for improper display of tag. As a result, the driver was arrested for no driver’s license.
Friday, Oct. 20
18:44 – An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Main Street and Dawson Drive for expired tags. The driver was placed into custody for an active warrant.
Saturday, Oct. 21
15:25 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Zora Street and Range Line Road. The female driver was taken into custody for driving while suspended.
20:20 – An officer was dispatched to the area of MacArthur Drive and Ellis Street for a vehicle vs. deer.
Sunday, Oct. 22
16:10 – I was contacted at WCPD about a past-tense harassment that occurred the day before at Webb City High School.
19:00 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at MacArthur and Colonial drives for several violations. The 35-year-old female driver was cited and arrested for driving while revoked, possession of an open container, and put on a 24-hold pending charges for driving while intoxicated – persistent offender.
22:35 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Madison Street and Fountain Road. One female was taken into custody for multiple Joplin warrants.
Monday, Oct. 23
04:55 – An officer responded to a call of a runaway juvenile in the 1100 block of W. Daugherty St.
08:01 – An officer stopped a motorcyclist riding down the sidewalk near Main and Galena streets. The 29-year-old male cyclist was found to have a revoked driver license and an outstanding warrant for his arrest from the Joplin Police Department.
11:12 – An officer was dispatched to the 200 block of South East Street in reference to a non-injury crash.
11:40 – I was dispatched to Walmart for a theft in progress. Subject was not located.
11:59 – I was dispatched to Walmart for theft of property.
15:00 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to threats made. An incident report was forwarded to the Jasper County Juvenile Office for further review and filing of formal charges.
15:25 – Officers were dispatched to 702 N. Hall St. in reference to a disturbance in progress. One adult female was taken into custody for assault.
16:47 – I was dispatched to 324 N. Tom St. for a report of theft. The investigation revealed an assault also occurred on scene.
21:19 – Officers were dispatched to Grizzly Bear Golf Carts, 2523 N. Range Line Road, in reference to a suspicious person. One female was taken into custody for outstanding Carthage warrants.
22:04 – An officer on routine patrol observed a subject with active warrants enter White Oak Gas station. A 45-year-old male was taken into custody for active warrants and trafficking drugs.
Tuesday, Oct. 24
08:16 – On 10/24/2023 at 0816 hours, I was dispatched to 1632 Jefferson Circle for property lost. Report was taken.
09:24 – I was dispatched to 11th and Madison streets for a two-vehicle, non-injury, traffic crash.
14:54 – I was dispatched to 1320 S. Oronogo St. for an assault in progress. Subject was taken into custody.
16:42 – I was dispatched to 4503-C E. Zora St. for a nuisance complaint. The complaint was against a neighbor in the next complex at 4563 E. Zora St. Subject was taken into custody for failing to identify himself, and citations were issued to him.
20:08 – An officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to harassment.
Wednesday, Oct. 25
I was dispatched to 1218 W. Seventh St. for a motor vehicle crash.
08:30 – I arrived at Webb City High School reference a male juvenile in possession of a vape containing THC. Evidence was collected and the juvenile was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
09:02 – Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of N. Liberty St. in reference to a suicidal subject. A 21-year-old male was transported to Freeman Hospital for a 96-hour mental evaluation.
11:27 – An officer was dispatched to 818 S. Jefferson St. in reference to property damage.
12:07 – Officers were dispatched to 1207 Nelson St. for a report of harassment.
15:56 – While conducting patrol duties I observed two-vehicles make a suspicious lane change in front of me on MacArthur Drive at Main Street. I contacted both vehicles, the drivers informed me that they had just been in a two-vehicle, non-injury, accident.
Thursday, Oct. 26
07:28 – Officers were dispatched to the roundabout for a one-vehicle, non-injury traffic crash.
07:31 – Officers were dispatched to 1607-A Gold Stream Dr. for a report of a stolen motorcycle. The motorcycle was returned to the owner.
09:58 – Officers were dispatched to McDonald’s for a report of fraud in progress.
12:06 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a shoplifting in progress. One male was arrested.
17:09 – Officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash at Main Street and MacArthur Drive. A male was arrested.
Friday, Oct. 27
14:52 – Officers were dispatched to the waste water treatment plant, 2100 N. Madison St.
16:03 – I was dispatched to WCPD for property found at King Jack Park, 555 S. Main St.
16:28 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter. One 38-year-old female was arrested for shoplifting, and interference with a legal process.
16:47 – I received a call for service at Dollar General, 102 S. Madison St. in reference to stealing.
Saturday, Oct. 28
00:45 – An officer conducted a car stop in the area of Sharon Drive and East Street. One female was arrested for DWI-D.
09:37 – An officer was dispatched to Broadway and Madison Street in reference to a non-injury crash.
15:17 – Officers were dispatched to Oronogo Street and MacArthur Drive in reference to an intoxicated man stumbling into traffic carrying a jug of tea. The 43-year-old male was located near 10th and Madison Street. He ultimately obstructed police and was arrested.
23:07 – I made a traffic stop near Eighth and Madison streets in reference to a license violation. An adult male was arrested for driving without a license. The vehicle was found to be reported stolen. It was recovered, however, the owner did not want to pursue charges at this time.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
