Thursday, Dec. 7

I was contacted at the police department for a possible past-tense theft that occurred at 746 N. Oak St. The victim wished to wait to see if she could retrieve her items before filing charges. On Dec. 11, I was contacted by the victim, she was not able to get her property back and wished to proceed with the report and charges.

01:49 – An officer responded to a check well-being in the 1100 block of W. 14th St. after some concerning comments were made by the occupant. A 26-year-old female was taken to the hospital on a 96-hour hold for mental health.

11:26 – Officers were dispatched to Madison Street Broadway for a motor vehicle crash.

Friday, Dec. 8

18:58 – An officer was dispatched to the 500 block of N. Madison St., in reference to a juvenile reporting another juvenile had stated she had no place to live. The case was transferred to Department Of Family Services.

22:02 – An officer made a traffic stop at S. Hall Street and Eden Avenue. One male was taken into custody for driving while suspended.

22:20 – I was southbound on Madison Street at 13th Street when I observed a northbound vehicle with no headlights on. During the traffic stop, a 33-year-old female was arrested for DWI.

Saturday, Dec. 9

21:09 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at South Madison Street and West Eighth St. for expired vehicle registration. A 36-year-old male was taken into custody and charged with driving while revoked.

Sunday, Dec. 10

04:42 – Officers were dispatched in reference a past-tense assault that occurred near the 4500 block of Pool Road.

11:00 – I was dispatched to a medical unknown in the 1800 block of S. Oronogo St. The subject was deceased.

11:28 – I received a call for service at 1305 W. Austin St. in reference to an order of protection violation.

Monday, Dec. 11

06:49 – Officers were dispatched to Ellis Point Apartments, 1607 S. Ellis St., for an assault in progress.

09:13 – An officer conducted a traffic stop near 16th and Oronogo streets. One 23-year-old male was taken into custody.

11:35 – I took a past-tense report of a stolen vehicle from 324 N. Tom St. on Dec. 10.

15:32 – Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Austin St. for the report of a man taking a package from the front porch of a neighboring home. A 39-year-old man was located and arrested for stealing.

16:32 – Officers were dispatched to 1201 S. Madison St. for found property, which was collected.

17:41 – An officer conducted a traffic stop near Madison Street and MacArthur Drive for expired plates. One 37-year-old was taken into custody for driving while revoked and multiple outstanding warrants.

Tuesday, Dec. 12

04:00 – An officer was dispatched to 411 S. Madison St. for a report of fraud.

10:48 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft in progress. One 52-year-old female was taken into custody.

15:10 – Officers recieved a call for a hit-and-run crash involving a parked vehicle.

15:41 – Officers were dispatched to 2316 S. Hall St. for a motor vehicle crash.

18:32 – Officers responded to 1127 N. Pennsylvania St. in regards to a theft.

19:35 – Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of S. Oronogo St. for a runaway juvenile, who was located and returned to home safely.

Wednesday, Dec. 13

07:37 – I was dispatched to 1723-94 Redwood Drive for a harassment.

10:06 – An officer was dispatched to 603 N. Liberty St. in reference to harassment. One adult male was taken into custody.

11:45 – An officer witnessed a two vehicle, non-injury, traffic crash at Madison Street and MacArthur Drive.

12:32 – I was dispatched to 623 N. Pennsylvania St. for a report of property damage.

14:54 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to theft in progress. One adult male and one adult female were taken into custody.

16:30 – I was dispatched to Walmart for a shoplifting in progress.

16:57 – Officers conducting a follow-up interview in regards to a theft at 1127 N. Pennsylvania St. learned of a secondary theft that had occurred later the night prior.

17:35 – I was dispatched to the intersection of Madison Street and MacArthur Drive for a non-injury two-vehicle accident.

21:09 – While on general patrol, an officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Eighth and Madison streets. One female was taken into custody for driving while suspended.

22:17 – I was dispatched to the 800 block of N. Madison St. regarding a runaway male juvenile. A missing person entry has been completed within MULES.

Thursday, Dec. 14

10:05 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to child abuse that occurred at 1145 N. Oak Way. A report was sent to detectives.

14:19 – An officer was dispatched to King Jack Park in reference to property damage.  Evidence was collected and an incident report was completed.

15:52 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting. One 36-year-old white male was arrested for shoplifting, as well as some other unrelated traffic offenses.

17:50 – I was dispatched to the intersection of 13th and Madison streets for a non-injury two-vehicle accident.

10:12 – An officer initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Fountain Road and Madison Street. A 65-year-old male was taken into custody.

11:38 – Officers were dispatched to 211 W. Broadway for a report of theft that occurred at 301 N. Liberty St.

13:33 – Officers were dispatched to the area of 13th and Madison streets in reference to a male subject pointing a rifle out of his vehicle’s window while traveling north on Madison St. A high-risk traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and a 31-year-old male was taken into custody.

13:53 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft in progress. One 35-year-old female was taken into custody.

16:00 – On 12/15/2023 at about 1600 hours officers were dispatched to a non injury crash at Madison St and 7th St. A report was taken.

17:38 – An officer was dispatched to the intersection of East and Daugherty streets for a non-injury motor vehicle crash.

20:24 – The Webb City Police Department’s drug recognition expert was dispatched to the Joplin city jail to conduct a DRE evaluation for Joplin Police Department.

Saturday, Dec. 16

Officers were dispatched to the area of Range Line Road and Ten Pin Lane in reference to a two-vehicle, non-injury crash.

08:12 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a report of shoplifting. One 23-year-old male was arrested for shoplifting.

14:09 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a past-tense shoplifting.

16:44 – I was dispatched to 513 S. Elliott St. for a disturbance. A male was cited for assault and given a court date.

17:25 – An officer was dispatched to Madison and 16th streets in reference to a two-vehicle, non-injury crash.

17:54 – Officers were dispatched to 513 S. Elliott St. for an assault in progress. A 43-year-old male was arrested for assault on law enforcement and domestic assault.

23:30 – An officer responded to a civil disagreement at 603 S. Walker St. A 42-year-old female was arrested on a warrant.

Sunday, Dec. 17

Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a past-tense shoplifting that occurred on Nov. 8. One 29-year-old male was cited for shoplifting.

13:01 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a report of shoplifting. One 25-year-old male was issued a summons for shoplifting.

14:10 – An officer was dispatched to Murphy USA in reference to a theft.

14:12 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a report of shoplifting. One 29-year-old male and one 25-year-old female were taken into custody.

17:23 – Officers were dispatched to the roundabout for a two-vehicle, non-injury crash.

20:10 – Officers were dispatched to 1413 W. 12th St. in reference to a burglary in progress. A 27-year-old male was taken into custody for burglary-1st.

21:30 – Officers were dispatched to White Oak Station, 2587 N. Range Line Rd., for a possible intoxicated driver. One female was arrested for felony driving while intoxicated.

Monday, Dec. 18

01:15 – Officers conducted a car stop at MacArthur Drive and and College Street. One male was arrested for DWI.

06:44 – An officer was dispatched to 1365-F Canyon Trails Dr. in reference to a stolen vehicle.

15:00 – An officer was dispatched to 1215 W. 14th St. in reference to a past-tense property-damage report.

16:03 – I was dispatched to 1608 Gold Stream Drive for a theft of property.

22:10 – I made a traffic stop at Fountain Road and Gold Stream Drive in reference suspicious activity. One adult male was arrested for trafficking drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and no valid drivers license.

Tuesday, Dec. 19

07:40 – Officers were dispatched to 503 N. Colonial Drive for an assault.

10:42 – I was dispatched for a lost-property report at 1425 W. 14th St.

15:02 – Officers were dispatched to 33 S. Main St. for a report of smoke in the building.

17:22 – An officer was dispatched to Madison and Third streets in reference to a non-injury motor vehicle accident.

20:50 – Officers were dispatched to Betenbough and Lakeview drives in reference a suspicious person. One adult male was arrested for Resisting arrest and failure to provide information.

Wednesday, Dec. 20

02:11 – While on general patrol, an officer found a stolen vehicle and had it towed.

07:22 – Officers were dispatched to College and Daugherty streets in reference to a two-vehicle, injury crash.

08:57 – I was contacted at WCPD for a past-tense theft that occurred at 660 E. Daugherty St.

12:49 – Officers were dispatched to 101 S. Hall St. for a report of property damage.

14:32 – Officers responded to Walmart for a report of shoplifting.

21:35 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Ware Street and Centennial Drive for failing to dim headlights. A 22-year-old female was arrested for driving while suspended.

Thursday, Dec. 21

01:29 – Officers located a intoxicated male at Enterprise and Progress drives and placed him in safekeep.

19:08 – Officers were dispatched to 16th and Oronogo streets, where a male was transported to Mercy Hospital for a psychiatric hold and cited for assault on a law enforcement officer.

Friday, Dec. 22

10:00 – I was dispatched to the station for a report of a stolen vehicle from 423 S. Centennial St.

10:27 – An officer was dispatched to Madison and 11th streets in reference to a non-injury motor vehicle accident.

10:59 – I was dispatched to a past-tense shoplifting at Walmart.

12:19 – Officers were dispatched to Seventh and Madison streets in reference to a non-injury crash.

13:01 – I was dispatched to College Street and Broadway for a crash with unknown injury.

14:50 – Officers were dispatched to a non-injury crash near the intersection of Zora and Wellington streets.

15:56 – Officers were dispatched to 16th and Madison streets in reference to a motor vehicle accident with injuries.

17:08 – I took a report of a past-tense theft of items that were taken from inside a vehicle parked at 328 S. Roane St.

18:57 – I received a call regarding theft of property at 1601 S. Ellis St.

23:40 – I made a traffic stop near Zora and Hall streets in reference a license violation. One adult male was taken into custody for driving while suspended.

Saturday, Dec. 23

01:11 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Daugherty and East streets for multiple lane violations. The 66-year-old male driver was arrested for driving while revoked and driving while intoxicated – aggravated offender.

08:35 – Officers were dispatched to Atwoods, 220 S. East St., in reference to a past-tense theft. A report was sent to the Jasper County Juvenile office.

11:38 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to a set of keys located in King Jack Park. The keys were secured in a property locker until the owner can be identified.

12:17 – Officers were dispatched to Madison and Seventh streets in reference to a two-vehicle, non-injury crash. A 19-year-old male was cited for following to closely.

14:13 – Officers were dispatched to a non-injury crash at the roundabout.

16:34 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Main Street and MacArthur Drive in reference to an improper turn. The 58-year-old male driver was arrested for no valid driver’s license.

21:29 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft in progress. One female was issued a citation.
