04:18 – Officers were dispatched to a nuisance complaint at Hall Street Park in the 500 block of N. Hall St. Two juveniles, ages 16 and 17, were temporarily detained for zero tolerance.
04:57 – Officers responded to 1711 Redwood Drive for a domestic. A 20-year-old male was arrested on a warrant.
11:27 – Officers were dispatched to 2027 Brenden Lane for a past-tense theft.
13:07 – An officer was dispatched to the Church of Nazarene, 701 W. 10th St., in reference to property damage.
13:22 – Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of S. Elliott St. for a psychiatric-suicidal subject. A 63-year-old male was transported to Mercy Hospital for a 96-hour commit.
23:16 – An officer conducted a traffic stop near MacArthur Drive and Zigler Street for a traffic violation. A 23-year-old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Monday, Feb. 12
07:31 – Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of W. First St., reference juvenile offenses. A report was forwarded to the Juvenile Office.
09:01 – Officers were dispatched to the 600-block of S. Madison St. in reference to a non-injury crash.
09:31 – An officer was dispatched to Madison Street and Macarthur Drive in reference to a non-injury motor vehicle accident.
09:44 – An officer was dispatched to Oronogo Streetand MacArthur Drive in reference to a non-injury crash.
17:12 – An officer was dispatched to Prairie Flower Road and Highway 171 in reference to a non-injury motor vehicle accident.
18:50 – Officers were dispatched to 1202 Stadium Drive for a report of property damage.
20:25 – Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of W. Cardinal Drive for a well-being check. A 37-year-old female was taken into custody for a 96-hour hold. Citations will also be issued for possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest.
Tuesday, Feb. 13
00:05 – While on general patrol, an officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Zora Street and Range Line Road. One male was taken into custody for driving while revoked and outstanding Newton County warrants.
08:38 – An officer was dispatched to 1801 Homestead Drive in reference to past-tense property damage.
10:55 – I received a call for service in the 800 block of Prospect Street in reference to child issue.
11:32 – Officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of Blue Jay Drive, reference a found child. A DFS referral was completed.
13:40 – I received a call for service in reference to a domestic disturbance in the 600 block of N. Liberty St.
20:12 – I was dispatched to Walmart regarding a theft in progress. An adult female was taken into custody for shoplifting.
21:39 – Officers were dispatched to WCPD for a violation of an order of protection that occurred at 1002 S. Jefferson St. Charges were submitted for state prosecution.
23:58 – I located a single-vehicle non-injury crash at MacArthur Drive and Oronogo Street.
Wednesday, Feb. 14
07:51 – An officer was dispatched to 13th and Madison streets for a two-vehicle, non-injury crash.
09:05 – A wallet was brought to the station and turned in as a found item. The item was found by a person walking on Highway 171 near the Brooklyn Heights exit.
13:09 – Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of N. Madison St., reference a past-tense assault. A report was forwarded to the juvenile office.
13:29 – I was dispatched to 1201 W. Fountain Road for a hit-run motor vehicle accident that occurred near 13th and Madison streets.
13:51 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD for a fraud that occurred at 713 W. Austin St.
15:04 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to fraudulent use of a social security number at 213 S. Hall St. to file taxes.
16:28 – Officers were dispatched to Wendy’s, 1229 S. Madison St., for an individual attempting to pay with fake bills. A 29-year-old male was arrested.
Thursday, Feb. 15
01:00 – Officers made a car stop near the roundabout. One male was arrested for DWI.
08:12 – I was dispatched to Murphy USA for a theft.
08:17 – An officer while on general patrol conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Madison Street and MacArthur Drive.
10:04 – I was dispatched to Walmart for a past-tense forgery.
An officer was dispatched to Atwoods, 220 S. East St., for a past-tense theft.
13:46 – Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of N. Madison St., reference a juvenile in possession of a THC vape. A report was forwarded to the juvenile office.
15:21 – A prisoner at WCPD escaped but was apprehended and booked back into jail.
Friday, Feb. 16
00:07 – Officers conducted a traffic stop on a maroon KIA passenger vehicle for defective equipment. One 25-year-old male was taken into custody for DWI-Drugs.
05:15 – An officer responded to 524 W. Second St. for property damage.
12:49 – An officer was dispatched to the WCPD lobby in reference to a past-tense assault that occurred at 511 S. Oakland St.
Saturday, Feb. 17
13:04 – An officer was dispatched to Atwoods, 220 S. East St., in reference to a subject slumped over the steering wheel of a truck in the parking lot. A 46-year-old female was arrested for drinking where prohibited.
15:02 – I was dispatched to 423 S. Walker St. for a domestic in progress.
16:05 – An officer was dispatched to the WCPD lobby a set of keys that had been found in a grassy area near Main Street and Gene Hatfield Drive.
20:44 – An officer made a traffic stop near 13th and Madison streets. One 49-year-old male was arrested for driving while suspended.
