Friday, March 16
13:35 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a report of theft of property. A 48-year-old female was cited for shoplifting.
11:21 – An officer was dispatched to the 900 block of W. First St. in reference to a runaway juvenile.
Officers conducted a traffic stop at the roundabout for lane violations. One male was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with no operator’s license.
00:27 – Officers conducted a traffic stop at Madison and 11th streets on a vehicle for no registration and and equipment violation. One male was arrested for operating a motor with no valid operator’s license.
01:45 – Officers conducted a traffic stop near Range Line Road and Zora Street. One adult female was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
Sunday, March 17
13:24 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft. One adult male was taken into custody for shoplifting.
14:17 – I was dispatched to Walmart for a past-tense theft.
20:46 – An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at 226 S. Madison St. for a license plate violation. One 42-year-old male was taken into custody for DWI-drugs and driving with no valid drivers license.
22:31 – I was dispatched to Jefferson Street and Broadway regarding possible juvenile offenses in progress. Three intoxicated juvenile females were located on scene and released to the custody of their guardians.
Monday, March 18
10:00 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD for a report of a past-tense domestic that occurred at 114 N. Main St. Apt-2 on March 13. A 42-year-old male was cited for domestic.
10:52 – Officers were dispatched to 905 Chesterfield Drive for a domestic in progress. One male was arrested for domestic assault.
15:14 – An officer was dispatched to Webb City Health and Rehabilitation, 2077 Stadium Drive, in reference to drug activity.
15:37 – Officers were dispatched to the roundabout for a motor vehicle crash with no injuries.
15:55 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a shoplifting in progress. A citation was issued.
23:00 – A officer conducted a traffic stop on a Harley Davison motorcycle with no tag driving north on Madison Street. The driver, a 32-year-old male, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
Tuesday, March 19
Officers were waived down by Atwoods employees in reference to a shoplifting. One 42-year-old female was taken into custody for shoplifting and driving while suspended
13:54 – Officers were dispatched to a walk-in report at WCPD for a disturbance involving harassment at 3752 E. Enterprise Avenue. One male was issued a citation.
16:38 – Officers were dispatched to intersection of Dawson Drive and Robert J. Baker Parkway for a dog bite. A 49-year-old male had been bitten and was transported to Mercy Hospital Joplin, and the dog owner was issued citations.
19:30 – An officer responded to 822 W. 15th St. for property damage.
19:46 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Main Street and MacArthur Drive for a lane violation. The 31-year-old male driver was arrested for driving while suspended.
19:55 – Officers were dispatched to 836 E. Hawthorne Loop in reference to a theft.
22:02 – Officers Initiated a traffic stop for defective equipment at the intersection of Liberty and Daugherty Streets. One 51-year-old male was taken into custody for driving while suspended.
Wednesday, March 20
07:51 – Officers were dispatched to 1400 S. Madison St. in reference to a check well-being. One adult male was taken into custody for driving under the influence and driving while license is revoked.
09:02 – An officer stopped a silver Saturn passenger car near the intersection of Second and Pennsylvania streets in reference to a traffic violation. The 19-year-old male driver was arrested for unlawful possession or use of a weapon. An 18-year-old male passenger was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana, and a juvenile female passenger was taken into custody as well.
12:11 – I was dispatched to Walmart for shoplifting in progress. The subject was taken into custody.
Thursday, March 21
00:33 – I was dispatched to 1135 N. Pennsylvania St. in reference a past-tense domestic assault.
14:31 – An officer stopped a white Chevrolet Impala in the 700-block of S. Walker St. Arrests were made on an adult male and an adult female for warrants, possession of controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
14:52 – Officers were dispatched to 524 W. Second St. in reference to a domestic in progress. One adult female was taken into custody for an out-of-state warrant, and charges were sent to the Jasper County Prosecutor.
16:00 – I received a call for service at the roundabout in reference to a motor vehicle accident.
16:00 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to a theft of property from 622 N. Oronogo St.
18:40 – An officer responded to WCPD for a report of forgery that occured at 1311 S. Madison St. The case was submitted to the detectives division.
Friday, March 22
06:22 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to a past-tense trespassing at 517 N. Webb St.
09:57 – An officer initiated a traffic stop near Austin and Webb streets for improper lane use. One 33-year-old female was taken into custody for driving without a license.
14:18 – An male inmate became combative in the jail at WCPD and damaged jail property. He was transported to the Jasper County Jail with new charges for resisting detention and damage to jail property.
18:45 – Officers responded to 1604 S. Ellis St. Apt. 49 in reference to a medical call. One female was arrested for outstanding warrants and delivery of controlled substance.
20:24 – An officer responded to Cardinal Stop, 306 N. Main St., for a call-in report of an intoxicated driver. A 17-year-old male was placed into custody for Driving While Intoxicated.
Saturday, March 23
Officers stopped a truck at East Street and MacArthur Drive for a turn-signal violation. One 21-year-old male was taken into custody for DWI-acohol and open container.
09:52 – An officer observed a vehicle illegally parked at 961 Dawson Dr. A 34-year-old male was arrested for Newton County warrants.
12:03 – I was dispatched to 514 N. Walker St. for a found item. I took custody of the item, later putting it into evidence.
15:49 – Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of S. Hall St. for a check well-being. A death investigation was conducted.
17:41 – Officers were dispatched to Lawver Storage, 2549 S. Hall St. to recover found property.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
