09:00 – A warrant service was conducted in the 700 block of Jillian St. One 31-year-old male, and one 28-year-old female were taken into custody for outstanding warrants.
16:54 – An officer was dispatched to Walgreens in reference to a theft.
Friday, April 12
13:43 – I conducted a traffic stop on Madison Street near Fountain Road. The driver was cited for operating a motor vehicle without a valid drivers license.
22:13 – Officers were dispatched to 421 N. Pennsylvania St. for a domestic in progress. One 40-year-old male was cited for peace disturbance.
22:38 – Officers conducted a traffic stop at MacArthur Drive and Powell Drive. One male was arrested for driving with a suspended driver’s license.
Saturday, April 13
05:52 – An officer was dispatched to Murphy USA in reference to someone passing counterfeit money.
13:12 – An officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to theft in progress. One adult female was taken into custody for shoplifting.
17:01 – I took a report for a dog bite that occurred at 720 N. Tom St. The owner of the dog will be issued vicious animal citation.
17:31 – I was dispatched to 800 E. Fourth St. regarding the theft of items that were inside a secured building at this address. (See 15:48 April 17)
21:45 – Officers responded to 1413 Crestwood Drive for a non-injury motor vehicle crash.
22:12 – Officers responded to Range Line Road and Zora Street for a motor vehicle crash. A summons was issued and a report was completed.
23:36 – I initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Madison Street and Heather Lane. A 38-year-old male was taken into custody and released for driving without a valid operator’s license.
Sunday, April 14
13:53 – I was dispatched to the station for a report of harassment at 421 N. Pennsylvania St.
15:07 – I received a call for service at 1207 W. Broadway in reference to a theft of bicycles.
16:04 – I was dispatched to 406 N. Webb St. for a past-tense assault.
19:53 – I was dispatched to 523 N. Tom St. in reference a past-tense theft.
Monday, April 15
11:56 – An officer was dispatched to 610 N. Liberty St. for a medical unknown. A 21-year-old male was taken to Freeman West for evaluation.
12:38 – Officers were dispatched to Madison Street and Fountain Road for a motor vehicle crash. There were no injuries and both vehicles were drivable.
12:43 – I was dispatched to MacArthur Drive and Oakland Street for a two-vehicle, non-injury motor vehicle crash.
13:22 – I was dispatched to 1802 S. Oronogo St. #8C for a subject reporting a dog abandoned at a nearby apartment. The dog was taken to the Humane Society.
14:51 – Officers were dispatched to the area of Stadium Drive and Madison Street for a vehicle-vs.-bike collision.
15:33 – An officer was dispatched to 1638 Jefferson Circle for a disturbance in progress. A 20-year-old female was issued multiple citations for peace disturbance.
17:32 – Officers were dispatched to Atwoods for a shoplifting in progress. Citations were issued.
17:41 – I was dispatched to the 1600 block of S. College St. for a disturbance. A juvenile had gotten out of control with a parent and was picked up by the father for the night.
Tuesday, April 16
07:48 – I was dispatched to 621 N. Madison St. for a two-vehicle, leaving-the-scene, motor-vehicle crash.
10:07 – An officer discovered a three-vehicle vehicle crash with injuries near 14th and Madison streets.
11:40 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD for a sex offense which occurred at King Jack Park.
12:13 – I responded to the Webb City High School in reference to a minor in possession of alcohol. The Jasper County Juvenile Office was contacted.
07:42 – Officers were dispatched to East and Daugherty streets in reference to a non-injury crash.
10:11 – Officers were dispatched to 1604 S. Ellis St. #5 in reference to a disturbance. A 44-year-old male was arrested for outstanding warrants.
Wednesday, April 17
15:48 – I received a call for service at 800 E. Fourth Street in reference to trespass in progress. An unknown male was seen standing at the back door of the building possibly trying to gain entry.
16:22 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to a past-tense theft at Walmart.
Thursday, April 18
08:01 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to fraud/identity theft at 2039 Bluejay Drive.
11:13 – An officer was dispatched to 504 N. Liberty St. in reference to property damage.
13:41 – I was dispatched to WCPD for a report of fraud and internet identity scam at 501 S. Madison St.
14:59 – I was dispatched to WCPD for found property at Daugherty and East streets. The item was seized.
Friday, April 19
03:48 – Officers were dispatched 1208 S. Madison St. for a trespassing in progress. One adult male was taken into custody for a safekeeping.
07:19 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft in progress. One 25-year-old male was taken into custody and placed on a 24-hour hold, pending the filing of charges.
08:12 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to property that was found near Ball and Fourth streets.
11:05 – I was dispatched to Carterville Public Works for a past-tense crash that occurred at 201 East Street.
12:22 – An officer was dispatched to MacArthur Drive and Jefferson Street in reference to a two-vehicle, non-injury crash.
13:01 – Officers were dispatched to the area of Pennsylvania and Vine streets in reference to a vicious dog charging at people.
14:00 – Officers were dispatched to 1309 S. Madison St. for a private property crash that occurred on April 16. A report was taken for one driver leaving the scene.
14:00 – I took a report of a license plate that was stolen at 804 Lexington Avenue.
16:06 – I was contacted at WCPD for a past-tense theft at 1414 Nelson St.
17:53 – Officers were dispatched to Main Street and MacArthur Drive in reference to a two-vehicle, non-injury accident.
Saturday, April 20
11:57 – Officers were sent to the 900 block of N. East St. for a domestic in progress. A 16-year-old male will have charges sent to the Jasper County Juvenile Office.
12:25 – Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of N. Webb St. in reference to a suicidal individual. Another individual in the household was taken into custody for outstanding warrants.
16:25 – I conducted a traffic stop on Prairie Flower Road near Highway 171. The driver was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant and driving while suspended.
20:45 – I was dispatched to 4499 Dirt Road for a suspicious vehicle in the driveway. As a result, a stolen vehicle was recovered.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
