Saturday, May 4
13:18 – Officers conducted a traffic stop near Madison and 16th streets for expired registration. One male was arrested for driving with no valid drivers license.
19:44 – Officers conducted a traffic stop at Devon and Daugherty streets for improper display of a license plate. One 39-year-old male was taken into custody for a Webb City warrant and driving while suspended.
21:17 – Officers conducted a traffic stop at Main Street and Broadway for a stop-sign violation. One 41-year-old female was taken into custody for a warrant and driving with no operator status.
21:25 – I observed a vehicle commit a lane violation at Main Street and MacArthur Drive. A 55-year-old female was arrested for DWI drug.
23:25 – An officer took a phone call from Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City in reference to possible child abuse occurring in the 400 block of S Walker St.
Sunday, May 5
15:13 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft in progress. One 63-year-old male was taken into custody.
17:00 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a shoplifting call. One female was arrested and taken back to jail.
20:04 – An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near 14th and Washington streets for expired tags. The driver was arrested for DWI-drugs.
23:30 – I observed a white Chevy SUV westbound on Fountain Road at Lakeview Drive commit several traffic violations. A traffic stop was made and a 52-year-old female was arrested for no valid driver’s license.
Monday, May 6
01:26 – A red westbound Ford truck crossed the center line on MacArthur Drive at Rose Lane. A traffic stop was made and a 34-year-old female was arrested for driving while suspended.
08:06 – An officer was dispatched to 104 E. Tracy St. in reference to found property.
09:15 – I responded to Webb City High School in reference to an assault. I was advised that a student was assaulted by another student. The suspect was transported to the Jasper County Juvenile Detention Center.
10:44 – An officer was dispatched to Ol Glory Car Wash, 2573 N. Range Line Road, in reference to a past-tense property damage report.
15:07 – I was dispatched to MacArthur Drive and Zigler Street for a two-vehicle, non-injury crash.
15:39 – I was dispatched to Walmart for a theft. A 38-year-old woman was cited for shoplifting.
15:59 – An officer was dispatched to 124 E. Broadway in reference to a past-tense burglary.
Tuesday, May 7
07:59 – Officers were dispatched to 324 N. Tom St. in reference to a disturbance. A 29-year-old man was arrested for trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia.
10:05 – I was dispatched to 418 S. Devon St. for property damage.
11:56 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to a theft that occurred at 1412-B Bonnie Lane.
12:43 – I received a call for service at Freeman Urgent Care, 1636 S. Madison St., in reference to a subject there who had been assaulted.
21:55 – A traffic stop was initiated and the final stop occurred at the intersection of Range Line and Ten Pin Lane. A 43-year-old male was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.
Wednesday, May 8
07:47 – Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of S. Liberty St. in reference to a medical call.
10:16 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at 1572 Homestead Dr for speed. As a resulta a 32-year-old male was taken into custody on Webb City Warrants.
13:07 – I responded to the 600 block of N. Madison St. in reference to a peace disturbance and assault. Upon arrival both parties involved were taken into custody.
14:51 – Officers were dispatched to 102 N. Madison St. for a disturbance in progress.
15:24 – Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of W. First St. reference an assault that had just occurred. A juvenile male was taken to the Jasper County Juvenile Office.
16:07 – Officers were dispatched to 200 S. Main St. in reference to an individual there with Jasper County warrants. One 28-year-old male was taken into custody.
18:43 – Officers were dispatched to 1727 S. Madison St. in reference to a motor vehicle crash.
Thursday, May 9
06:53 – The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department dropped a white male off at the Webb City Police Department in reference to a possible crime that occurred in Webb City’s jurisdiction, at 2600 N. Range Line Road, Joplin.
08:09 – Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of W. First St., reference an assault.
10:39 – Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of W. First St., reference an assault that had just occurred.
11:40 – Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of N. Cedar St., reference a check well being. An 85-year-old woman was found deceased.
11:45 – Officers were dispatched to 519 S. Devon St. for a eepartment assist. A 22-year-old male was arrested for multiple felony warrants.
14:58 – I responded to the Webb City High School in reference to a disturbance. Contact was made with an uncooperative suspect who was taken into custody.
16:01 – Officers were dispatched to Robin Lane and North Main Street for stolen telephone wire.
19:01 – Officers responded to Madison and 11th streets for a motor vehicle accident.
20:37 – I was southbound on Hall Street at Enterprise Drive when I observed a white passenger vehicle in front of me commiting several traffic violations. A 41-year-old female was arrested for Jasper County warrants.
Friday, May 10
03:48 – An officer responded to Otto Car Wash, 1727 S. Madison St., for a commercial alarm.
07:40 – Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of W. First St. reference a juvenile in possession of marijuana. A report was forwarded to the juvenile office.
07:41 – I stopped a vehicle at Main and Arch streets for a traffic violation. The driver was subsequently arrested for a Webb City warrant.
14:56 – An officer was dispatched to W. Seventh St. and S. Madison St in reference to a non-injury motor vehicle accident.
15:09 – Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of W. First St. reference an assault that had just occurred. A juvenile was taken into custody and transported to the Jasper County Juvenile Office.
Saturday, May 11
I was dispatched to 4569 E. Zora St. Apt F regarding a dog biting a juvenile.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
