19:41 – Officers conducted a traffic stop at Main and Second streets for an unreadable temporary tag. One 51-year-old male was taken into custody for being a fugitive from out of state.
Sunday, May 19
00:26 – An officer responded to Dominos, 624 S. Madison St., for a fake 100 dollar bill being passed.
00:28 – Officers conducted a traffic stop on a black Chevy passenger vehicle at Madison and 16th streets. One 41-year-old male was taken into custody for DWI-drugs.
06:49 – Officers were dispatched to 404 N. Main St for an assault. One 26-year-old male was taken into custody.
13:22 – An officer was dispatched to Main Street and MacArthur Drive for a two-vehicle, non-injury accident.
19:24 – Officers responded to Walmart for a shoplifting.
23:50 – Officers conducted a traffic stop at Broadway and Cedar Street on a Honda passenger vehicle for lane violations. One 30-year-old male was taken into custody for driving while revoked.
Monday, May 20
07:51 – Officers were dispatched to Seventh and Oakland streets in reference to two children found walking unsupervised. The children were quickly reunited with their guardian nearby.
08:45 – Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of W. First St. reference a juvenile with a possible medical emergency. A report was forwarded to the juvenile office.
11:01 – I was dispatched to a check well-being in the 300 block of N. Tom St. The subject was found deceased, and an investigation was conducted.
11:50 – I received a call for service at 410 S. Madison St. in reference to a motor vehicle accident.
14:30 – Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of S. Hall St. reference a Department of Family Services assist.
18:39 – Officers responded to 830 W. Austin St. for an animal call.
19:58 – Officers responded to 1305 W. Austin St. for an exparte violation. Information was gathered and charges were submitted to the state prosecutor.
Tuesday, May 21
00:15 – I was dispatched to 324 N. Tom St. in reference a nuisance complaint. A signed complaint was taken for peace disturbance.
01:04 – An officer attempted to make a traffic stop at the intersection of East Galena Street and North Elliott Street. The driver fled on foot and was apprehended. As a result, a male was taken into custody for resisting arrest, driving while revoked, driving while intoxicated and minor in possession.
07:44 – I was dispatched to the station in reference to a threatening text message received at 1211 Chesterfield Drive.
07:56 – Officers were dispatched to 4533 Pool Rd in reference to a domestic in progress. One adult female was taken into custody, as charges for domestic assault in the fourth degree were sent to the Jasper County prosecutor.
13:05 – An officer was dispatched to 603 S. Walker St. in reference to a child custody matter. The situation was found to be a civil matter, but an incident report was created.
16:56 – I was dispatched to WCPD in reference to a cell phone found at Main and Church streets.
22:19 – I made a traffic stop in the 600 Block of N. East St. in reference a license violation. One adult male was taken into custody for fugitive from justice.
23:15 – An officer was dispatched to 504 N. Ball St. in reference to harassment.
23:39 – Officers were dispatched to 306 N. Main St. for a check well-being. As a result, one 47-year-old male was taken into custody for DWI, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
Wednesday, May 22
15:03 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to a crash on private property (Walmart parking lot).
15:35 – Officers were dispatched to 324 N. Tom St. in reference to a subject there with possible warrants. One 29-year-old male was taken into custody.
17:00 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to property that was found at Caseys, 1525 S. Madison St.
21:12 – An officer responded to 1603 S. Ellis St. Apt 247 for a bicycle that had been stolen.
23:49 – I was dispatched to 1638 Jefferson Circle in reference to a check well-being.
Thursday, May 23
21:14 – An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired tags near Madison and Seventh streets. A 25-year-old male was arrested for driving while revoked.
Officers responded to Atwoods in reference to a driving complaint on an older Ford passenger vehicle. One 32-year-old female was taken into custody for driving while revoked and a Webb City arrest warrant.
04:09 – I was dispatched to Walker and Tracy streets for a careless and imprudent vehicle. A 21-year-old male was arrested for DWI, resisting arrest, assault on law enforcement, property damage and open container.
12:48 – An officer was dispatched to the roundabout for a two-vehicle, non-injury vehicle crash.
16:53 – I was informed by a citizen at 13th and Madison streets that there was a crash just south of that intersection. I pulled up on the crash scene, checked occupants of both vehicles and requested other officers, firefighters and EMTs to respond to my location.
18:54 – An officer responded to Dollar General, 102 S. Madison St., for a shoplifting that had just occurred.
20:01 – Officers conducted a traffic stop on a white passenger vehicle at Broadway and Main Street for license plate violation. One 29-year-old male was taken into custody for Jasper County warrants and driving while revoked.
22:02 – An officer responded to Seventh Street and Lakeview Drive for a theft of bicycles that had just occurred. Two juvenile subjects were later located on Madison Street with the stolen bikes.
05:41 – An officer responded to Stadium and Colonial drives for a suspicious person. A 46-year-old male was arrested for an out-of-state warrant.
07:49 – I received a call for service at the roundabout in reference to a motor vehicle accident.
09:18 – An officer was dispatched to 1100 W. 14th St. in reference to a report of theft by deception via the internet.
15:55 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft that had just occurred.
16:21 – Officers were dispatched to 702 N. Elliott St. for a disturbance. The caller reported a man was destroying a mailbox with a pipe. A 38-year-old man was arrested for property destruction.
16:26 – I received a call for service at 817 Horseshoe Drive in reference to a disturbance in progress. A male was subsequently arrested for local warrants.
Saturday, May 25
09:10 – An officer was dispatched WCPD in reference to a found item that someone brought in. A Missouri license plate and its plastic housing were located near Main Street and MacArthur Drive.
11:59 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft in progress. Upon officer arrival three subjects fled. A pursuit was initiated and three juvenile males were taken into custody.
12:42 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to property damage and vandalism at 605 W. Daugherty St.
16:41 – An officer was dispatched to White Oak Station, 411 S. Madison St., in reference to a found item.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
