10:50 – I was dispatched to the station in reference to a report of harassment at Wig ‘N Out Boutique, 20 S. Main St.
Friday, May 24
Officers responded to Madison Street MacArthur Drive for a motor vehicle accident.
18:03 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft in progress. One female was taken into custody for shoplifting and trespassing.
18:42 – An officer responded to 1708 S. Madison St. for a theft.
20:39 – Officers were dispatched to WCPD for a report of an intoxicated driver. One 37-year-old male was arrested for driving while revoked and a Joplin warrant.
Saturday, May 25
19:39 – Officers were dispatched to 915 N. Main St. in reference to a suspicious person. One male was taken into custody for outstanding warrants.
21:49 – While on general patrol, an officer conducted a pedestrian check. As a result, one male was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant.
Wednesday, May 26
13:30 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart reference a past-tense shoplifting. A male subject was identified and issued a citation.
18:36 – Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of N. Pennsylvania St. for juvenile offense.
21:36 – An officer made a traffic stop at 2320 S. Hall St. in reference to a traffic violation. One adult male was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated, driving while revoked and endangering the welfare of a child.
Monday, May 27
01:09 – I was dispatched to Wendy’s, 1229 S. Madison St., in reference an assault in progress. The suspects and victim had already left the scene. The victim was located shortly after and an investigation was started.
06:46 – An officer was dispatched to King Jack Park, 555 S. Main St., for a report of property damage to the railroad crossing signal.
08:45 – An officer made a traffic stop near Tracy and Centennial streets for a traffic violation. One 35-year-old female was taken into custody for driving while revoked.
15:48 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft in progress. One 24-year-old female was taken into custody.
16:49 – I was dispatched to 205 W. Arch St. for a found item. I took custody of the item, later putting it into evidence for safekeeping.
Tuesday, May 28
08:30 – I took a report of a past-tense theft from a 1994 gray Ford F350 that was parked in front of 1202 W. Broadway. The theft occurred sometime between May 15 and May 25.
19:01 – I was dispatched to Forever Bed, 805 N. East St., in reference to a vehicle hitting the building.
19:53 – Officers responded to Second and Tom streets for a suspicious person acting strangely. Drug paraphernalia was confiscated.
20:56 – An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired tags at KFC, 1867 S. Madison St. A 22-year-old was arrested for an out-of-state warrant, and a 42-year-old male was arrested for a Webb City warrant and failure to provide his identity.
21:18 – An officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a past-tense theft.
Wednesday, May 29
00:50 – I was dispatched to Cardinal Scale Manufacturing, 203 E. Daugherty St., in reference to a leaving-the-scene motor vehicle crash.
07:35 – I was dispatched to 1628 Jefferson Circle for a animal complaint. Citations will be sent in the mail.
08:44 – I stopped a vehicle at Madison and Daugherty streets for defective equipment. The driver and passenger both had a Jasper County warrants for their arrest. Both were arrested and transported to the Webb City jail, where they were held in lieu of bond.
10:26 – I was dispatched to 731 W. Second St., for property damage.
12:30 – Officers were dispatched to Tee Time, 520 E. Broadway, reference a past-tense theft.
13:08 – I was dispatched to the station for a harassment that occurred in Kansas. The victim was referred to her hometown law enforcement agency for additional assistance.
14:03 – An officer was dispatched to 330 S. Webb St. in reference to a past-tense theft.
15:34 – I arrived at 815 W. 13th St. for a report of property damage. The victim reported someone broke the driver-side window of his truck.
17:55 – I was dispatched to 1229 S. Hall St. for fraud/scam.
19:35 – An officer responded to 1617 W. MacArthur Drive for a bike that was left by a dumpster.
19:50 – An officer conducting traffic enforcement observed a white passenger car with traffic violations. A traffic stop was initiated and a 65-year-old male was taken into custody for operating a motor vehicle without a license.
20:18 – An officer was dispatched to the 500 block of N. Ball St. in reference to a violation of child protection order. Charges were submitted to the juvenile office.
21:57 – I was dispatched to 810 W. Austin St. regarding a past-tense burglary and property damage.
Thursday, May 30
07:12 – Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of N. Pennsylvania St. reference a runaway juvenile.
15:53 – An officer was dispatched to the roundabout in reference to a crash.
Friday, May 31
10:31 – An officer was dispatched to Freeman Urgent Care, 1636 S Madison St., in reference to a crash on private property.
16:35 – Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of N. Webb St. for an assault in progress. A juvenile was transported to detention.
22:24 – Officers attempted to stop a green in color grom style motorcycle at Roane and Aylor streets. A pursuit ensued.
Saturday, June 1
00:49 – I was dispatched to 4563 E. Zora St. Apt. C in reference to a domestic assault.
10:50 – Officers observed a subject behind Webb City Middle School, 603 W. Aylor St., and contacted as a suspicious person. One male juvenile was detained and charges were forwarded to the Jasper County Juvenile Office.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
