Feb. 16, 2022

Monday, Jan. 31

11:17 – I was contacted at the station in reference to a fraud which had occurred at Walmart. The victim reported someone used his stolen credit card to make several unauthorized purchases. A report was taken.

Saturday, Feb. 5

18:15 – Officers were dispatched to 1515 W. Broadway for a domestic in progress. One male fled the scene but was arrested by officers and later transported to a local hospital.

16:06 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a shoplifting in progress.

14:46 – I was southbound on Madison at Fourth streets when I observed a passenger vehicle committing several traffic violations. A traffic stop was initiated and a pursuit was started. As a result, a report was written.

01:16 – I attempted to stop a vehicle near East and Jillian streets in reference to a traffic violation. The vehicle failed to yield at the Wingfield Apartments on North Main Street. One adult male was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, possession of paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and minor in possession.

17:20 – I was dispatched to 1224 S. Jefferson St. to a trespass in progress. A 39-year-old male was issued a citation for assault.

Sunday, Feb. 6

21:05 – I made a traffic stop near Madison Street and Cardinal Drive in reference a traffic violation. One adult male was charged with driving while suspended.

Monday, Feb. 7

04:12 – I made a traffic stop near Fountain Road and Eagle Street in reference to a license violation. Two adult males were taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.

20:12 – Officers responded to Walmart for a shoplifting in progress. One subject was taken into custody.

18:06 – An officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft. A 32-year-old male and a 30-year-old female were arrested for stealing.

20:36 – An officer was dispatched to Casey’s at 1525 S. Madison St. in reference to a found item. The item was placed into evidence until the owner can be located.

Tuesday, Feb. 8

06:27 – A report was taken at 1605 S. Ellis St. for property damage and stealing from a motor vehicle.

12:03 – A report was created for stealing at 415 W. Fifth St.

14:00 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft in progress. One adult male was taken into custody.

Wednesday, Feb. 9

10:45 – I was dispatched to 315 N. Webb St. in reference to a past-tense burglary. The reporting party stated someone had forced entry into the residence and took items.

22:50 – I made a traffic stop near Madison and Seventh streets in reference to an equipment violation. One adult male was charged with driving while suspended.

23:38 – I was dispatched to 110 W. First St. in reference a past-tense property damage.

20:02 – I was dispatched to WCPD regarding a missing person from 216 S. Tom St.

Thursday, Feb. 10

I received a past-tense report of a possible inappropriate sexual incident that happened with a child in the 1700 block of South Madison Street.

Friday, Feb. 11

08:06 – A motor vehicle crash occurred at Broadway and Washington involving two-vehicles.

13:57 – I was dispatched to 201 S. Tom St. in reference to a suspicious person. Upon arrival into the area I located the suspect, and he was taken into custody for multiple warrants and a narcotics violation.

16:28 – A report was created for an assault at Atwoods.

20:59 – Officers were dispatched to Ole Glory Car Wash in reference to a property damage report. A vehicle had struck and caused damage to a short concrete barrier serving as a border between two properties. Evidence at the scene was gathered, witnesses were identified, and suspects who fled the scene were sought.

17:00 – Officers were dispatched to 1802 S. Oronogo St. in reference to a domestic in progress. 

Saturday, Feb. 12

10:16 – Officers responded to a disturbance at 1711 Redwood Dr.

18:38 – I was dispatched to King Jack Park for a suspicious vehicle. A report was taken for property damage.
