Enrollment for all Webb City R-7 students – new and returning – is going on now online.

The first day of school is less than a month away – on Monday, Aug. 23.

BUS DRIVERS AND SUBSTITUTES NEEDED

The Webb City R-7 School District is seeking bus drivers and substitute teachers.

Preferred bus driver applicants will have experience and at least a Class B CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements. 

However, the district is willing to train the right candidates. Drivers must be able to pass the DOT physical and pre-employment background check.

Interested applicants may pick up an application at 411 N. Madison Street.

Substitute Teacher pay has recently increased to $100 per day or $110 per day for long-term subs.

SKY KINGS MEETING AND UPCOMING FUN FLY

The Sky Kings R/C Club’s Summer Fun Fly and Swap Meet will be held from 9 a.m. to sunset Saturday, Aug. 7, at the club’s airfield.

Spectators are encouraged and can attend for free. Hats and lawn chairs are recommended. Soda and water will be supplied by the club. Lunch will be available for purchase, and donations will be appreciated.

A current AMA card will be required to fly.

The airfield is north of Sharon Drive on the west edge of Carterville. But it’s actually on property owned by Webb City.
