Webb City’s soccer team improved its season record to 6-7 with a 4-0 home win Tuesday against Willard.
Although the Cardinals had multiple shots on goal during the first half, they scored all of their goals in the second half.
Webb City will be at Springfield Central Thursday and then home again Tuesday to face Branson.

The softball Cardinals (23-10) capped their week Tuesday with a 20-hit, 16-14 win at Joplin.
They started the week with a 5-2 win at Branson and then went 4-1 Friday and Saturday in the Springfield tournament. Their wins were against Reeds Spring (15-0), Park Hill South (3-2), Lee’s Summit North (8-2) and Republic (6-5). Their loss (3-0) was against Nevada, which will host the upcoming Class 4 District 7 tournament, Oct. 12 – 16.
The last home game will be against Monett at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. The regular season will end Monday at Kickapoo.
The volleyball team is 18-4 going into the last week of the regular season.
During this last week, the Cardinals will host three opponents: Republic, Thursday; McDonald County, Monday, and Ozark Tuesday.
Throw in the Willard tournament on Saturday. Their season ends Thursday, Oct. 12 at Branson.
Then districts will be held Oct. 17 – 21 at Branson.
Webb City won both games in the quad that it hosted Saturday: Colgan, 3-0, and Grain Valley 3-2. On Tuesday, the Cardinals took a 3-0 win at Neosho.
