The annual Wreaths Across America event honoring veterans buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13.
Organizer Susie Crutcher has again arranged for the opening ceremony to include among others, Mayor Lynn Ragsdale, Webb City High School JROTC, Scout Troop 25 and the American Legion.
Volunteers are welcome after the ceremony to help place wreaths at 1,200 veterans’ graves.
The deadline to purchase wreaths for this year has passed, but wreaths are available for the 2026 ceremony at www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/MO0173.
Following the ceremony, the organizations and other volunteers will place the wreaths at the veterans graves while saying each name aloud.
