Six qualify for speech and debate nationals

The Webb City speech and debate team announces that six of its members have qualified to compete in 2023 National Speech and Debate Tournament.

The team competed regionally from March to this past weekend for a chance at Nationals. Now that the competitions have ended, the following six qualifiers will be preparing for nationals:

Fin Brown – dramatic interpretation

Devin Tusinger – policy debate

Bria Brattin – policy debate

Wyatt Wolfe – duo interpretation

McKenzie Jones – duo interpretation

Evan Garrison – senate debate

Nationals will be held June 11 – 16 in Phoenix, Ariz., where 6,000 competitors from 2,000 schools will be competing for 42 championships.

Tiffany Bolin leads the Webb City team, with assistance from Nikki Owens and Morgan Cantu.
