23:28 – Officers located lost property on a male arrestee at WCPD. The property was entered into evidence.

Tuesday, July 22

09:26 – Officers were dispatched to a past-tense tresspassing at 701 W. 10th St.

Thursday, July 24

15:00 – An officer was dispatched to 1703-3 Redwood Drive in reference to a fraud that took place on July 18.

23:09 – Officers were dispatched to 806 N. Madison St. for a warrant confirmation. One male was taken into custody for a Jasper County warrant.

Sunday, July 27

04:56 – Officers were dispatched to 1421 Mineral St. for an incident of domestic assault that occurred at 503 N. Colonial Dr.

06:04 – An officer was dispatched to Casey’s, 337 S. Main St., for an unknown injury crash involving a Casey’s fuel tanker. A 42-year-old male was arrested for leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash and DWI.

21:49 – Officers were dispatched to 1802 S Oronogo St. Apt 2E for a physical disturbance. A citation for domestic assault was issued to a 21-year-old female.

Monday, July 28

06:06 – I received a call for service at the roundabout in reference to a motor vehicle accident.

07:23 – An officer was dispatched to Madison Street and MacArthur Drive in reference to a non-injury crash.

08:20 – An officer was dispatched to 1365-E Canyon Trails Drive in reference to a trespassing in progress. A report was taken for found property.

11:50 – An officer conducted a traffic stop on Oronogo Street near Seventh Street for a moving traffic violation. One 78-year-old female was taken into custody for driving while suspended.

13:07 – An officer conducted a traffic stop on a moped at Daugherty and Madison streets for a moving violation. One 33-year-old male was taken into custody for driving without a license.

16:44 – Officers were dispatched to Country Boulevard and Pool Road in reference to a leaving the scene crash involving a bicyclist.

17:50 – Officers responded to the roundabout for a crash.

21:13 – Officers were dispatched to 708 W. 10th St. for a burglary that had just occurred.

Tuesday, July 29

I was advised by another agency of a past-tense sexual misconduct that involved a juvenile female. The alleged incident took place in the 1100 block of 14th St. on July 8, 2025. An investigation was initiated.

16:42 – I took a walk-in report of a peace disturbance that had occurred at 513 N. Tom St. The report will be forwarded to the prosecutor for further review.

16:50 – An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1800 block of S. Oronogo St. in reference to a traffic violation. One 42-year-old male was taken into custody for driving with no valid license.

20:28 – A traffic stop was made at Liberty Street and Broadway, resulting in a 35-year-old male being arrested for stealing and trafficking drugs.

Wednesday, July 30

08:51 – An officer was dispatched to the roundabout for a non-injury crash.

13:23 – An officer was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Broadway for a suicidal male who had been cutting. A 37-year-old male was transported to Freeman West.

14:47 – I conducted a traffic stop on Oronogo Street near 15th Street. The driver was later taken into custody for an outstanding warrant.

19:38 – Officers responded to 1802 S. Oronogo St. in reference to a nuisance complaint. One 20-year-old male was cited for peace disturbance.

20:01 – I took a report at WCPD for an incident of child endangerment that occurred in the 1500 block of S. College St.

Thursday, July 31

10:00 – Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Prier Lane for a medical with law. The male was transported by EMS to a local hospital.

12:00 – Officers were dispatched to Madison and 14th streets reference a two-vehicle, head-on collision.

12:11 – An adult son was reported missing after being dropped off at 909 W. First St.

14:15 – I responded to 806 N. Madison St. reference call about a gun-shot victim. Upon arrival, officers gave medical care to the male victim and identified the male suspect in what was deemed to be an accidental shooting from firearm mishandling.

Friday, Aug. 1

17:23 – Officers were dispatched to the roundabout in reference to a non-injury crash.

20:57 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Fountain Road and Ellis Street. One male was taken into custody for outstanding warrants.

21:12 – An officer was conducting traffic enforcement at Fifth and Madison streets when they observed a white Kia Forte with license violations. A traffic stop was initiated, and one male was taken into custody for operating a vehicle without a valid drivers license.

22:47 – Officers responded to 1636 S. Madison St. for a disturbance in progress. One 25-year-old female was taken into custody for DWI and open container.

Saturday, Aug. 2

01:59 – An officer conducted a bicycle stop at Zora Street and Myrtle Road. One male was taken into custody for outstanding warrants, resisting arrest, possession of a drug paraphernalia and possession of certain weapons.

05:55 – Officers were dispatched to Commerce Bank, 1311 S. Madison St., in reference to a nuisance complaint. One 21-year-old male was taken into custody for having an open container of an alcoholic beverage while being in control of a motor vehicle.

10:40 – An officer was dispatched to 324 N. Tom St. in reference to a past-tense crash that occurred on Aug. 1 near 12th and Madison streets.

12:41 – An officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of W. 14th St. in reference to a missing juvenile. An investigation was completed, and the juvenile was located.

12:56 – Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of S. Madison St. for a non-injury crash.

16:06 – An officer was dispatched to Eighth and Madison streets in reference to a crash that had just occurred.

16:18 – An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Roane and Austin streets in reference to expired temporary registration. The 50-year-old female driver was taken into custody for driving while suspended.

21:27 – I attempted to stop a dirt bike in reference to moving and equipment violations. The dirt bike driver fled from the traffic stop and led officers on a pursuit. The pursuit was terminated and an investigation was started.

Sunday, Aug. 3

00:34 – An officer made a traffic stop near MacArthur Drive and Main Street in reference to a traffic violation. One adult male was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.

13:40 – An officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a past-tense theft that took place at about 5:20 p.m. on July 29.

13:40 – An officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a past-tense theft that took place at about 6:41 p.m. July 29. One 41-year-old female was issued a citation for shoplifting.

13:40 – An officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a past-tense theft that took place at 3:17 p.m. July 30.

15:22 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to theft of money at 510 S. Madison St.

23:36 – An officer stopped a suspicious vehicle at 1400 S. Madison St. One adult female was taken into custody for outstanding warrants.

Monday, Aug. 4

10:00 – I took a report of internet fraud via computer access from 1403 Stadium Drive. The victim received a virus message on his computer and contacted what he believed was Best Buy technical support, however he inadvertently gave someone access to his computer remotely and they stole $1,000 from his Discover credit card through his Amazon account.
