Friday, Sept. 19
19:38 – Officers responded to the 400 block of N. Washington St. for a department assist with a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was found and transported back to her foster care home.
Saturday, Sept. 20
07:10 – I arrived at 226 S. Madison St. for a theft. The victim reported several tools were taken from the bed of his truck.
Sunday, Sept. 21
09:19 – I was dispatched to 701 N. Hall St. for a theft. The caller reported someone stole his orange Magnum 50cc scooter from his front yard.
22:22 – Officers responded to 660 E. Daugherty St. for a physical disturbance. Two females were arrested for assault and multiple other charges.
23:26 – Officers responded to the 200 block of N. Ball St. for a domestic call. A male was taken into custody for DWI.
Monday, Sept. 22
08:42 – I received a call for service at 207 S. Pennsylvania St. in reference to found property.
14:34 – I received a call for service at Cardinal Towers, 324 N. Tom St., in reference to a trespass in progress. A male was subsequently arrested for a Webb City warrant.
14:57 – An officer was dispatched to Wasche Laundry, 615 N. East St., in reference to a stolen bicycle being seen by the owner. The property was recovered and a 60-year-old male was taken into custody for possession of stolen property, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and Joplin warrants.
20:13 – I was dispatched to 1006 W. First St. in reference to a fraud.
20:48 – Officers conducted a traffic strop at Ware Street and Railroad Way for expired plates and not stopping at a stop sign. One 25-year-old female was taken into custody for driving without a valid license.
Tuesday, Sept. 23
12:39 – I received a call for service at Casey’s, 337 S. Main St., in reference to property damage.
17:51 – Officers were dispatched to 1403 W. Daugherty St. for a report of fraud.
Wednesday, Sept. 24
01:58 – I made a traffic stop near the roundabout in reference to a stolen vehicle. One adult male was taken into custody for charges of tampering from the Carl Junction Police Department.
12:13 – Officers were dispatched to Daugherty and East streets for a motor vehicle crash.
14:21 – A victim reported at WCPD that the license plate off of the back of her 2011 Toyota Passenger Vehicle is missing or stolen.
20:33 – Officers made a traffic stop at Madison Street and Fountain Road for failure to use turn signals. The male driver was taken into custody for driving while suspended.
Thursday, Sept. 25
06:58 – Officers were dispatched to East and Galena streets for a report of a three-vehicle crash.
14:05 – I was dispatched to 1009 W. Eighth St. for a harassment incident.
19:20 – Officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Madison and Crow streets for a registration violation. One 24-year-old female was taken into custody for DWI-drugs.
19:23 – Officers made a traffic stop at Madison and Nelson streets. A female was taken into custody for DWI.
21:27 – Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Madison and Seventh streets for a registration violation. One 29-year-old male was taken into custody for DWI-drugs.
Friday, Sept. 26
00:38 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Railroad Way and Ware Street in reference to defective equipment. The 55-year-old female driver was arrested for driving while suspended.
10:25 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to found property.
11:42 – I received a call for service at 410 S. Madison St. in reference to weapons violation.
15:27 – I was dispatched to WCPD for a report of identity theft that occurred at 702 N. Pennsylvania St.
Saturday, Sept. 27
11:38 – Officers were notified that Joplin Police Department was in pursuit of a motorcycle coming in the direction of Webb City. Webb City officers assisted Joplin with their pursuit and took the 39-year-old male into custody for outstanding Joplin warrants, trafficking first degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, and traffic offenses. JPD submitted charges of felony fleeing, Valentine’s Law (aggravated fleeing), driving while suspended, and additional traffic offenses that took place in Joplin.
(Valentine’s Law, enacted by Missouri in 2024, is named for St. Louis County Detective Antonio Valentine, who died in the line of duty in 2021).
