Friday, Aug. 14

18:27 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Daugherty and Ball streets for a license plate violation.

Sunday, Aug. 16

13:02 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a shoplifting in progress.

13:28 – I responded to Walmart to assist another officer with a shoplifting incident. Meanwhile, I was contacted by Walmart asset protection in reference to separate shoplifting incident. The male in that case was identified, and charges will be filed.

Monday, Aug. 17

00:06 – A suspicious vehicle was observed in an unlit parking lot within King Jack Park directly off of Robert J. Baker Parkway. A 40-year-old male was taken into custody for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license.

00:43 – An officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of N. Webb St., in reference to a missing person. A 39-year-old male was taken into custody and transported to Mercy Hospital to be placed on a 96-hour hold.

06:45 – An officer was dispatched to Main and Daugherty streets for two juvenile males, ages 7 and 5, walking without a guardian. They were turned over to their parents, and a hotline report was completed.

08:59 – I was dispatched to the WCPD lobby in reference to a subject with an active arrest warrant.

16:46 – An officer was dispatched to First and East streets in reference to a subject who was stumbling in the roadway. One 31-year-old female was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant.

Tuesday, Aug. 18

01:12 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Casey’s, 337 S. Main St. A 36-year-old male was taken into custody for DWI- alcohol/drug combination.

14:37 – Officers were dispatched to 1311 S. Madison St., reference a fraud.

16:00 – Officers were dispatched to Madison Street and MacArthur Drive for a motor-vehicle crash.

17:49 – Officers were dispatched to 1802 S. Oronogo St. for a reported domestic assault. A 28-year-old male was taken into custody for domestic assault.

22:14 – An officer was dispatched to Madison Street and MacArthur Drive in reference to a leaving-the-scene motor-vehicle accident. A 17-year-old male was issued citations.

Wednesday, Aug. 19

12:04 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to property found at Main Street and MacArthur Drive.

13:04 – An officer was dispatched to Commerce Bank, 1312 S. Madison St., in reference to a fraud service call.

14:13 – I received a call for service at 1031 Meadow View Drive in reference to theft of property.

15:36 – Officers were dispatched to White Oak Station, 2587 N. Range Line Road, for a theft. A 26-year-old female was arrested for DWI and no operator status. And a 35-year-old male was arrested for stealing.

17:31 – I received a call for service in the 600 block of N. Tom St. in reference to a runaway juvenile.

17:42 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD for a walk-in report of a past-tense motor-vehicle collision.

Thursday, Aug. 20

08:43 – I responded to a service call at the police department in reference to fraud at 2631 Myrtle St.

16:23 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to a threats call that was made on the 600 block of Ball St.

18:41 – Officers were dispatched to 510 S. Oronogo St. for a possible intoxicated driver. A a traffic stop was conducted on the suspect vehicle, and one male was taken into custody for DWI-combination.

Friday, Aug. 21

12:40 – An officer was dispatched to Cintas, 3517 Red Iron Drive, in reference to property damage that took place during the overnight hours of Aug. 20.

18:00 – I was dispatched to 501 N. Liberty St. for a report of a assault that occurred at 404 N. Main St.

Saturday, Aug. 22

08:00 – An officer conducted a traffic stop near Madison Street and MacArthur Drive in reference to a traffic violation. A 29-year-old male was arrested on a Lawrence County warrant.

15:15 – An officer noticed a subject laying in the roadway near Church and Main streets. The 20-year-old male was contacted and transported to an area hospital for a 96-hour mental evaluation.
