22:59 – An officer was dispatched to 503 Colonial Road in reference to past-tense domestic and property damage.
Wednesday, May 7
13:42 – Officers were dispatched to City Hall, 200 S. Main St., for a warrant arrest. One female was at court and had a Jasper County arrest warrant. She was taken into custody.
15:00 – An officer was dispatched to 203 N. Madison St. for a report of burglary.
Thursday, May 8
06:49 – Officers were dispatched to the roundabout for a motor vehicle crash.
11:46 – Officers were called to 712 Wilson St. for a report of property damage.
16:02 – I responded to the station in reference to a theft from the 1521 Brewster Lane. The victim reported he fell for a Facebook sales scam on April 3.
Friday, May 9
18:59 – Officers responded to WCPD for a walk-in report of a theft that occurred at Walmart.
Saturday, May 10
16:09 – Officers were dispatched to Range Line Road and Zora Street in reference to a four-vehicle crash with injuries.
18:33 – Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of N. Main St. in reference to a disturbance. One adult male was taken into custody for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.
18:58 – Officers were dispatched to 4551 Country Blvd. in reference a physical domestic in progress. One male was taken into custody for domestic assault.
23:15 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Kristin Lane and April Crossing. A male was taken into custody for driving while revoked.
23:48 – Officers were dispatched to 1603 S. Ellis St. for a report of property damage. A 22-year-old male was arrested for warrants, and a citation was issued for property damage.
Sunday, May 11
04:45 – An officer was dispatched to Hurricane Carwash, 1703 W. MacArthur Drive, in reference to an alarm. When officers arrived, an adult male fled on foot and was unable to be located.
08:30 – An officer contacted a citizen for a pedestrian violation. One 43-year-old male was issued a summons for failing to comply after failing to identify himself.
11:22 – An officer was dispatched to Pizza Hut, 1119 S. Madison St., and C&R Liquor, 1505 S. Madison St., in reference to reports of wires being cut on the building.
23:48 – Officers responded to 1402 N. Main St. Apt A for a burglary past-tense. Charges were submitted to the state prosecutor.
Monday, May 12
00:40 – Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of the Redwood apartments on Redwood Drive in reference to a theft in progress. Four juvenile females were taken into custody for felony stealing and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.
20:21 – Officers responded to Dollar Tree, 610 S. Madison St., in reference to a semi stuck and blocking traffic. One 36-year-old female was taken into custody for DWI-drugs and Barton County warrants.
Tuesday, May 13
08:34 – Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of N. College St. for a subject that was not breathing and not responsive. The subject was found to be deceased and beyond medical help. An investigation was initiated.
14:00 – Officers received a report at the station of a burglary in progress at 217 W. Austin St. Officers located one male in the residence and took him into custody.
14:48 – Officers were requested by the Joplin Police Department to check for a reported runaway child in the 1300 block of Nelson St. The child was located safe with a grandparent and JPD was updated.
Wednesday, May 14
02:33 – Officers responded to a call about a suspicious person at Second and Jefferson streets. One 37-year-old male and one 34-year-old male were taken into custody for warrants.
11:13 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to a harassment that had been occurring at 1440 Heather Lane.
14:15 – I received a call for service at 1460 S. Madison St. in reference to a protection order violation at 821 S. Hall St.
16:38 – I was dispatched to Centennial Drive and MacArthur Drive for a motor vehicle accident.
Thursday, May 15
00:18 – An officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of South Ellis Street and Fountain Road. One female was taken into custody for outstanding warrants.
07:14 – I stopped a vehicle at Main and Aylor streets for a traffic violation. The driver was subsequently arrested for a Carthage City warrant.
08:20 – While on duty, I spotted a battery in the street near Broadway and Main. I picked the item up and took it to the station and placed in in lost and found.
12:08 – I received a call for service at MacArthur Drive and Oronogo Street in reference to a motor vehicle accident.
13:03 – Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Madison Street and Broadway for an injury crash.
13:15 – An officer was dispatched to 704 N. Liberty St. in reference to a burglary that took place sometime between May 12 and 14.
14:54 – An officer was dispatched to US Cellular, 1715 S. Madison St., in reference to a disturbance that occurred about 30 minutes prior. As a result, one 39-year-old male was mailed a citation for peace disturbance.
Friday, May 16
17:36 – I was driving north on Madison Street when I arrived on the scene of an accident at Madison and Seventh streets. One injured female was transported to the hospital.
Saturday, May 17
01:59 – Officers were dispatched to 409 N. Webb St. in reference to an assault. A 39-year-old male was arrested for assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
12:53 – I conducted a traffic stop on Madison Street near Seventh Street. The driver was taken into custody, fingerprinted, and released with a citation for no valid drivers license.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
