Webb City boys basketball opened the season Tuesday with a 78-60 win against Lamar in the Cardinal Dome.
Barron Duda, a 6-3 junior, led the Cardinals in scoring with 25 points, including 4 3-pointers. Keith Holton added 13 points.
Next up will be the Carthage Tournament on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Webb City JV Tournament is slated for Monday. And the varsity will be back in the Dome on Tuesday against Rogers Heritage.
The Webb City girls, already 3-1 since getting a 54-33 win Tuesday at McDonald County, will play their first home game Thursday against Miller. They’re entered next week in the Lady Mustang Classic at McDonald County.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
